Terry McCarthy (Customer Care Case Manager) at Lenovo is very professional and is a great asset to Lenovo. I will continue to purchase Lenovo products because of Terry. Thank you!

I had ordered an item from my friends @ Lenovo which was a Type C to HDMI adapter. The sales clerk and I noticed the price for it was $31.99 on 10/30 when I ordered the item and then thought OK will check my order status the next day 10/31. Sure enough that price was NOT honored and no matter how much I talked with my friends @ Lenovo they did not honor the price they had posted on their website yesterday.

Lessons learned: Yeah see what the part is that will be compatible with their machine BUT DO NOT buy it from Lenovo. Google it or go to e-Bay you'll pay less and chances are you'll get superior customer service for which Lenovo's is next to nil.

Awesome hardware for high end laptop and mid range android phone. Have been using them for years and still as good as new. Price very reasonable. Great work.

After a two weeks' wait, Lenovo shipped me a broken desktop. When I called the customer service, they didn't apologize or regret. Instead, they tried to charge me for the return.

How much lower could Lenovo still go?

Terrible customer service! I will not buy Lenovo again. My brand new yoga laptop had nothing but problems. They tried to repair it twice. Finally they are sending me a refund but I had to hound them. Wouldn't answer my calls or return emails. Terrible.

I have NEVER had such a horrible experience. I bought a computer that didn't work, sent it back, received the replacement, but the DVD drive didn't work. I ordered the DVD drive and was told it would be here in a week. Week comes. No drive. I call again. They have to look for the information and get back to me. They don't. I call again, as usual wait and hour to talk. They will escalate the order. Order not received. Call again. Nothing noted about escalation. This happened twice. Called again. It would come on 7-21. I call on 7-22. Nothing. Call again today and was told the technician had called but no answer so they sent the part back. I ask for manager. Turns out I have to wait until later this week (the part had not been returned on a slow boat to China). It remains to be seen whether or not I will ever get the part and get it installed and WORKING. Conveniently, I cannot send this review without adding an undeserved star !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If you are lucky enough to get a Lenovo product that actually works be extremely grateful because if you ever have to send it in for repairs you may never see it again. The first time I sent it in they kept it for over a month and when it was returned they had repaired the wrong part! It has been three weeks since i sent it in the second time and not one word of status updates and my emails and calls are never returned. As of right now the Lenovo repair facility has had my computer for longer than I owned it prior to the issue! Probably the worst customer service experience I've encountered with any product. Do NOT purchase Lenovo brand items.

At first I really liked my computer, then after 10 months it stopped working and I had to send it in for repair. They promised me I would have it back within 10 business days, however they kept it for over a month. After hounding customer support they finally told me that they no longer serviced my laptop and they would send me a new model. I received the new computer and it worked for about 4 months until it broke. I called customer service and told them I wanted a refund and they told me they could process a refund, if I sent them my receipt. I sent it to my case manager and never heard from her again. It has been over a month and she hasn't responded to any phone calls or emails. I will NEVER buy a Lenovo product again and I was discourage anyone who is considering buying one, not to bother. It will only lead to headaches.

I purchased a Y40-80 from Lenovo at the end of last summer. For the whole year while under warranty the computer operated perfectly without a single problem. About two days after the warranty ended and the computer started crashing so much it was barely usable. Now you may think that I visited a bad website or something but I had only visited highly trusted websites like Google, YouTube, Facebook, etc. When I called Lenovo they said it was too bad for me as the warranty had expired just before these problem but they suggested I do a factory reset. I did this. At first it worked fine but a week later it crashed a bit her and there. I did various things to try and fix it.

Finally the crashing stopped after a few weeks, no thanks to Lenovo. By this time the computer battery (which was only just over a year old by this point) would not hold a charge. I practice very good battery protection by unplugging once it is charged. Rarely leaving plugged in overnight, not letting battery fall below 20% except for a few times during the final crashing days as the battery life was short and I was in class. After spending forever with Lenovo they told me which battery to buy, $76 USD ($102 CAD at the time).

As I'm a student and need a laptop for class I choose a faster shipping method then the 7 business days ground shipping as it was a Tuesday and could not arrive for two weeks that would mean. Little did I know but the shipping method I opted for was not offered to Canada. Lenovo decided to upgrade me to overnight shipped, at my expense of over $200 CAD. When I called the company and said I did not give permission for this they offered little help at first but two days later I got in contact with a supervisor. The supervisor said they could refund me the profit they made on shipping ($50 CAD). They were charging me a profit on the battery and shipping, shipping which I did not ask for. I do also want to point out that the "overnight shipping" I was charged for did not arrive till the Friday after I ordered it. Yes, it was overnight shipping, the representative I spoke to told me it was as well as the supervisor. Also the bill for the shipping arrived about 24 hours after I ordered the product so was not aware to the charge until well after.

When it arrived I went to a computer science major I live with who had proper tools. Not hard to remove a battery, just screws. Nope, the screws were low quality and some did not come out as when we tried to undo them they stripped. Had to take it to a computer shop and pay $35 for screws to be taken out, and that price was lower than what the place tried to charge me but I negotiated.

Lenovo customer support along this entire journey was highly unhelpful, inconsiderate, practiced extremely poor business practices, took advantage of me.

I have dealt with other tech companies customer service such as Apple, HP, Rogers, Monster, Sony, and always had good service. But this was the least helpful customer service I had dealt with so far in my life and they did not seem willing to help. I am deeply disappointed.

Never buy a Lenovo! Terrible customer service!! I can't express this enough. My $2,300 laptop totally melted down after only 10 months. It cost me $98.84 to ship it back to them on Sep 14, and they've had it now since 9:30 a.m. Sep 20. They don't have the three parts needed to fix it. My case was "escalated" to a mysterious department in North Carolina, called Customer Relations. You can't get in touch with these people--no email, no phone number--and in the meantime, I've been without a PC for a full month now. I call the technical support office daily, and they claim they don't have a phone number. They promise to call me every time, yet they do *not*. I wish I'd never heard of Lenovo! Never buy this brand!!

I purchased a Lenovo Laptop 1 1/2 years ago and sorry to report, the main mother board died. Of course this happened after the one year warranty expired. When I called customer service, I was told..."sometimes these laptops arrive at the customer and out of the box they are not working". Obviously I am very disturbed. It is now more reasonable for me to purchase a new laptop vs. repairs due to the cost. I do not travel with this laptop and it is used only a few times/week-mostly for email and some light internet surfing. I will never purchase a Lenovo product again!
