Leavitts knowingly ignored information on legal documents and falsely claimed a wife that the deceased did not have, then distributed that false information. When it was brought to their attention, multiple times there were nothing but excuses. "Our hands are tied" , "we have to write what the next of kin tells us" Opinions maybe, but paid or not you do not ever have to post false information. A fact is a fact. You are legally married or you are not. If legal documents show that you are not then anything posted differently is a choice on the funeral home's part to be dishonest for pay. They participated in banning my grieving child from attending his dad's funeral (he's 7) and participated in excluding him from the obituary while accepting no other options for him despite multiple options being presented and then because of their spread of false information, caused over a year in court correcting things and financial damages, not to mention the extreme emotional distress and calluose infliction of pain on a child. They could care less about you or your pain or anyone but the person paying them. You'll only get the excuse sandwich from them. Excuse, fake apology/sympathy, excuse. This place is shady and run down. They are dishonest and will write whatever you pay them to write despite legal documents showing what they are writing is untrue. They will show no regard for any losses or damages this causes you in your most vulnerable time. It's about money and pretending to care. Save your money and go elsewhere or make sure you check and double check things there to make sure they are keeping things honest.

I had a bad experience with the hospice company and thank God I didn't let them choose the funeral home. The service I received from Leavitts was phenomenal! Mike Leavitts and Logan are angels with their wings hidden underneath their coats. I believe my father is proud of the service they provided for him.

Again, absolutely amazing service and I highly recommend this place!

Leavitt’s Mortuary is a very spacious and peaceful dwelling. The upkeep of grounds is well beyond any expectations one might have(IMO). The new private cremation areas developed recently are not only beautiful and calming to walk through, there is a sense of relief knowing that one doesn’t have to be put into a casket and buried deep under ground. (For those with claustrophobic issues, of course.) I recommend checking it out if you’re preparing early. Thank you for taking the time to read my post. God bless and be well.

I went on Memorial Day weekend to take flowers to my grandparent's grave with my whole family and the lawn around their grave was overgrown and unruly. The rest of the lawn had been mowed, but it was like they missed a whole strip around my grandparent's grave. I understand that their maintenance crew makes mistakes, but the one weekend per year when they should do a professional job with mowing and trimming their grounds should be Memorial Day. I've been watching the maintenance go downhill for some time in terms of pruning trees and managing the grounds and quite frankly, I'm disgusted. Not to mention, this was after it took over a year to get the headstones placed correctly on their grave after my grandmother passed away. She spent over 9 months without a headstone until I finally demanded that a temporary be placed on her grave until they could get her actual headstone installed.
