This is by far my favorite place to buy things for my dogs. Not only did the owners help with my dog's tummy troubles, they also care for the community and have a lot of really cool dog toys, treats, and foods that not all the other stores have. Could not reccomend more

This is the best pet store in Iowa City. They're locally owned, supply very good pet products, help foster/showcase animals for adoption, and care for the community.

Wanted something for my cats that was our of stock. They ordered more and called me to let me know, and offered to hold it aside for me. They have a large selection of food and treats too.

I love this place. The owner and the employees care about every single customer and pup that walks through the door. They are very kind to all the pups and offer great suggestions and allow you to try products on in the store. They are all very knowledgable about the dog scene around Iowa City and surrounding areas. The best part of shopping here is supporting a local business. The prices are very fair and I would say are on par or less expensive than Petco a chain store. They offer only the highest quality items. We love Leash On Life!

Every experience has been good. The only problem I have is the hours. I can't seem to make it there . I don't live In iowa city. I work nights. So hanging out in iowa city from 7am to 10 am or 12 is not very convenient to me.

The staff are always very helpful. The owners are even more helpful. They will even adjust their usual stock if you tell them you will be buying a lot of something on a regular basis. The products they are sell high quality. My pets eat like royalty on grain-free food from Leash on Life. The only thing I would prefer they change is to be open at least one evening past 5:00. I can only shop on weekends because my work hours are longer than the store hours. That means I really have to pay attention to when I am getting low on pet food.

Love this place! They only carry brands that they can stand behind, which in a world of constantly recalled dog food is comforting. The staff also knows all of the equipment and food really well. I have asked about food brands I hadn't heard of and was able to learn a lot. If you bring your pet in the staff is great about helping you try and test out different products with them. The staff is also great with dogs (I assume cats as well, but I don't have any!). They are really friendly, but only reward when the dog is being well behaved and they ask before giving your dog a treat. My pup that isn't a big fan of people fell in love with a staff member and started following her around. Could not recommend either location more!
