Great local store! Lots of organic choices & nice herb shop for homeopathic remedies. Love the remodel It’s not Whole Foods (which is a good thing!) I prefer to support the small local businesses over Amazon.
What a great store. Great selection of so many products and the prices are not too high. Really good hot and cold prepared foods section, and great pastries and deserts.
It is a nice grocery store. It carries stuff for people with allergies and a lot of organic stuff. In my opinion the prices are high and that is typical of organic, gluten free. Etc type of stuff. I shop for lactose free stuff and other items that are not available in a common grocery store. Tuesday is senior day and the seniors get 15 % discount. The store has good quality goods.
A little pricey but good quality and selection. Very nice people working there. They were closing, but still waited for me to grab salsa before they shut down the register.
Qualitatively better prepared foods than other SB grocers (I'm looking at you, WF). Fewer preservatives, more whole ingredients. I appreciate the staff, especially how they seem reasonably non-judgemental about my peculiar grocery schedule and tendency to bomb in 15 minutes before close to raid the bakery. WF is less expensive, yes. However they also use trans fats extensively and their produce just seemslesser, particularly fruits. The extra pennies feels worth it to me. Super job on the renovation!
Love shopping here! Friendly staff and fantasic quality. Some people complain about the prices, but that is because they simply do not know how to shop at Lazy. They have some great sales and a weekly sales newsletter that is fun to plan your week around. This is not necessarily a one stop destination that you attack with a shopping list. It is better approached as a place for exploration and trying new things. They recently remodeled their deli counter, hot food bar, and salad bar. They also increased the premade food section. So they are also a great place to stop if you don't feel like cooking! I highly recommend!
Used to love this store!!! With the nice remodel the food has declined significantly. In time no one will remember how great this place was. Very sad, recommend you shop elsewhere.
I used to shop here. Some of the workers there were nice and human. I don't shop there anymore. Just some bad experiences. In particular, less than cordial treatment by management. I guess they already have as many customers as they want and need. They don't need me.
Vegetarians and vegans better off at Vons for deli - if you love or even like animals - don't come here for lunch. Example: Hot soups - all 9 (yes nine) of them have dead animals in them. Not even one for vegetarians, let alone vegans! And this is TYPICAL. The last time we were here there was only one vegetarian soup (none vegan) out of nine. I used to like - even love this place - and I want to again. Whomever is running the deli must really not want our business.
We just went to Lazy Acres one time after shopping at other SB grocery stores. We were told we could find fresh seaweed to make our own ahi poke. We were taken back in delight to find amazingly fresh seafood, meats, and interesting vegetables. Some prices are bit high, but you get more than what you pay for.
Everything about this place is great. Customer service, awesome selection, just make sure you keep your receipt if you purchase a refill on water.
Amazing meats and top grade cuts. One of the best places to go for reasonably priced top shelf food.
I love Lazy Acres. I love their sales. I love their senior discount. I love that a percentage of my purchase is passed on to the charity of my choice. I love the coupons. I love, love, love the free cheese samples. Most of all I love the people who work there. Never once have I felt unwelcome or as if I wasn't getting the best service ever. Lazy Acres, thank you for hiring such nice people.
Food is so good your toes curl, friendly service, and a clean environment. The cook prepares healthy and tasty dishes. Best Jamaican food in town, delicious, fresh well seasoned food. The vegetarian plate has a few cabbage/veggie/ bean sides plus rice and fried plantains. Simple restaurant but the service was good.
