The Rah bar is my absolute favorite spot on Jekyll. I love the laid back, friendly atmosphere, fantastic views, and mouth watering peel and eat shrimp!!! My husband and I try to go at least twice on our stay, if not more. Can't beat the weekends with live music either. I'm hearing it's closed right now, hoping it's temporary and that when it opens its still the same!
Good food, friendly staff, great view of the river
food was good, staff was creepy at best. The waiter was too quiet and when someone else dropped off the salad the look given was pretty much a look of - here's your f'n salad. Was lunch time before the dinner rush
Food tasted like week old McDonald's ketchup, staff treated you nicely. bad atmosphere, terrible band with terrible music. I would not recommend this at all, this has been a burden on our vacation, and as I'm only 15 I can't do anything about ou want nice food, go next door. It's much better, speakers were way too loud, I couldn't talk Even if I was inside. I have never written a review but I can attest that this was one if the absolute worst dinners I have had in my life. Save yourself the time and money, don't come
We had the best time at latitude 31°. The staff was extremely helpful. Jenna gave us recommendations on our lunch. Desert fire fettuccine was top notch, the Po Boy and house made chips were excellent, and the Garganzola Burger was very tasty. Chris behind the bar was very pleasant. Served us our drinks and chatted with us. It made us feel right at home like we were locals rather than tourist. Thomas, our food server, was very nice and jumped in to help when Chris got busy working both the inside and outside bar. Jenna told us they were slightly under staffed but we didn't even notice because Chris, Thomas, and Jenna were all so helpful and talkative. Thanks so much for serving us the best lunch on the island guys!
Service was great. Food was good. I had the fish and chips. It was just average. Wife have the shrimp tacos, she rated above average. Everyone in our group was please with our overall experience. The view was great.
Two stars for the scenic view and crappy food. I would give it a one, but the view and dog friendly patio deserves all the credit.
Bring your own food and picnic blanket, the experience would be better than the quality of food and service. 15 bucks is the average meal. Plastic forks and martinis served in solo cups.
Recommendation to management- Keep your servers, rethink your concept. I should have read the reviews before eating here.
While the view was nice, it didn't make up for the worst service of my life. We were told to pick a seat by the hostess, so we did. It took nearly 10 minutes before seeing a menu and another 10 before getting drinks (and we were outside in the sun by the way). We ended up having to ask the hostess for refills as our server took our order, then disappeared. We had more service from the food runner and hostess than the person tasked with the serving position. The sad thing is the server wasn't gone, she continued to tend to the other tables she had. I can't say for sure, but it felt as if she prejudged us. I Will not return.
