Landers house customer service is second to none. They care about their guests and try to accommodate in the best possible way.

We enjoyed our stay. Hot tub was very relaxing. The only thing I didn't really like was the bed was just a queen. Breakfast was very good! Would definitely stay again.

We stayed in the caribou cottage and it was fantastic. The whirlpool, the fireplace and the breakfast were to die for! Highly recommend.

Been here twice now at two different cabins, they were both very well decorated, and had unique themes. Staff is very friendly, and the breakfast is great!

We love the Lander's House! Stayed here a couple of times now and they are very accommodating. The rooms/cabins are so unique! We hope to keep coming back until we've had a chance to stay in each room or cabin. The served breakfast is absolutely delicious! I would recommend to ANYONE.

We had a nice stay. The jacuzzi was fantastic and breakfast was phenomenal, the bed was a but firm for our taste. But overall we had an excellent stay.

My wife and I stayed a couple nights in the La Noche cabin. The star-like lights in the ceiling were very romantic at night and the breakfast far exceeded my expectations so good! Location was great too. Minutes away from Starved Rock and Matthiessen. Driving there and back was a breeze.

Very friendly staff and big, tasty breakfast. Nice cottages, but the heater in the fisherman house is too high up on the wall - so the main area is significantly colder than the bedroom. Not a huge issue, just needs to be kept in mind.

Awesome breakfast, fun themed cottages. We always feel well pampered. They are pet friendly, so we can bring our little dog with us.

Dave and Lisa Betcher are the new owners of Landers House and what a renovation project we are completing. Already new pillow top Queen beds in all rooms, 28" Smart TV's, Kueregs, new linens and towels, brand new paint job and renovation to the Landers House and Bear Creek homes, So much more coming. Bobbie our innkeeper receives great reviews upon every stay, the gardens in the back are magnificent. Stop on out for a visit, you will love what we have done with the place!

Over breakfast at Joy and Ed's, some of the locals were talking about the owner of the Landers House. They mentioned that she used to be "meticulous" about repairs and upkeep on her property, and a "knockout," but now walked around town looking like a bag lady. I think the Landers House is changing in the same manner as its owner.

The Landers House wasn't especially clean. The carpets were stained, someone left a video in the VCR in our room, there were racoons or something in the attic that kept us up all night. It was all just a little off. The bathroom upstairs had been used and not cleaned up. It wasn't gross, just not as clean as you'd expect.

Also, there wasn't anyone there to greet us. When we walked in, the TV downstairs was blaring, but we didn't see a single employee during our entire stay.

I reserved the room with Discover. A few day's later a kid called and said they didn't take Discover. It wasn't very professional. He did warn me in a stumbling manner that there wouldn't be anyone there to greet us, but I didn't expect not to see anyone the entire time.

We loved the jacuzzi, the decor was a little cheesy. It was okay, but we won't stay there again.
