Amazing place to visit if you are a lover of nature! I've visited the area with my friends and family for evening strolls, biking, and legitimate hiking/rock climbing. On the other hand I have visited the area for photoshoots. It's a great place for scenic shooting as well.

This is a gorgeous area and a heck of a getaway from a hectic life. I love to bring my dogs and go on long hikes with them. They always enjoy themselves, and so do I.

Beautiful forest with several trails! Also a couple lakes there one I know for sure is stocked with trout. Alot to do in this area as well. Great place to spend the day alone soaking up mother nature or a great place for families.

Went there first time,heard they had nice hiking/ biking trails. Logged 6 miles on our bikes and visited the general store.Very nice employees and very good prices for souvenirs. Beautiful views from many lookout points.Large playground for children.We also gathered infomation for campsites, we will be camping there in the spring.

Cooper's Rock is a fantastic jewel in the crown of West Virginia! It is a marvelous park, with something new to see everyday, with overlooks (both official and unofficial), picnic and camping areas, and trails ranging from beginner to challenging, for hiking, biking, and cross-country skiing. There is something for every pleasure in the Forest, and our family has enjoyed many days under its boughs, in three seasons - the Park is closed in the winter, with one parking area available for the cross-country ski trails.

Fantastic hikes, great forests, beautiful views. If you walk down all the way to the river, then take your swimsuit in the summer, Worth a dip! Pack a light lunch and water. **NOTE: If you want to go to the overlook or if you have people with mobility constraints or simply don't want to hike much etc but just great views, then google for the Coopers Rock Gift Shop to get the correct map/address for the parking near the Overlook. The listed address will stop you 2-3 miles before it at park entrance.

Amazing views and great spaces to explore. This is also a great space for people interested in bouldering, just don't forget your crash mat. They offer plenty of parking in their lots as well. There is almost always a wedding happening when we visit as well, so if you're interested in having your wedding at Cooper's Rock it is definitely worth checking out.
Very cute gift shop that offers apparel, mugs, snacks, drinks, and collectibles.response / report this review -

Great hiking with tons of stuff to see. Rock city and rattlesnake trail are a must if you want to see stone corridors and small caves. Also, the furnace on clay furnace trail is impressive.

Beautiful overlook close to parking. Clay Run Trail leads along a nice creek to an 1840s era cold blast furnace remains.

Perfect place to spend a nice day outside. There are trails for everyone. Beautiful views. Places to explore. Never too busy, and anyone you do see is always friendly and respectful. Park is clean and pretty well maintained. There are even some cool landmarks and historical sites scattered throughout
