Haven't been there yet, but it was really nice to be able talk to the owner, even at 11pm for a next day reservation. She was nice and very informative and easy to work with

Our site was semi-private/wooded, just what we were looking for. Bathrooms are clean. Shower area small and not much room to dress, but attached to the in-ground pool, which the kids love! Owner was nice and helpful. Second year we've stayed there and we will be returning.

If you are looking for a place to camp with a family do not go here, if you want to go sleep in a rv all day then you are set. You will be watched by owner like almost stalking, and asked to quite down if you roast Smores with the kids around a campfire made of 4 dollar a bundle firewood. You will not be allowed to set around in the dark by a fire and talk in a normal tone of voice. We launched my boat to go fishing and came in to find our boat trailer was gone, come to find out they unhooked my trailer from my truck and took it a ways away to their house and tucked it away behind house. This was explained by there is a sign that says no parking in boat launch area,now I have been to a lot of launches this usually means don't be blocking up the launch area. Obviously they mean anywhere in walking distance don't park,and what business do they have touching personal property anyway, a note would have done it or tell the others in our party at campsite to move it maybe. The showers are dirty and only provide a trickle of water once you figure out how to latch rope tied to faucet to turn water on. The fish cleaning station is nice but don't think you are gonna clean big lake fish here, they don't allow that,even though they are so close to the big lake. The lighting is so poor around camping area my sister tripped over a tree root above ground and broke her ankle. I will not return to this campground and what a shame as we spent a grand or better the week my family stayed.

+ Hosts are very friendly and helpful.

+ There are multiple playground areas for kids including basketball court.

+ The camp ground is about 10 miles from town so not much traffic.

+ main bathrooms are nice and clean.

+ Roads in camp are well maintained.

+ pool area is clean and maintained.

+ yeah.. There's a pool.

+ There was a problem with the electric at our site that they informed us of upon arrival and had us set for a better site in minutes.

- The sites are a little tight for large campers but definitely manageable.

- showers could be a little bigger. Better shower heads.

- the dump station is a curve and real tight with a wooden fence and bushes on one side My camper may have trimmed up some of that. :) your welcome.

Overall a good stay.
Would recommend to others.

DO NOT GO HERE!!!!!!! We stayed here or night, after driving 4 and a half hours, and then stayed at a different campground. The owner is rude and unprofessional. They gave us one warning for being loud at 4 in the afternoon on a holiday weekend for which we all apologized for. She then stated that she didn't want an apology. She then said if she had to come back it would be with several of her annual renters who would escort us off the property. I don't know what kind of family friendly place threatens paying customers, I will never go here again and recommend finding a different campground. I wish we would have read all of the reviews we arent the only ones to experience this type of treatment.

Owner was very nice and respectful. Our group was being loud and instead of yelling came and asked politely to lower voices. 4/5 will return again. Plus there is a pretty chill cat that will Grace you with it's presence.

Been awhile since we have been there. But we had a great time while we were there regardless of bathroom sizes etc. its camping.. it's better then an Outhouse!

Great place. Bathrooms are nice and have showers and running water. We had a ton of mosquitos, but it was end of summer and in the 90s, so to be expected so close to a lake.

My family and I went to this campsite we felt like we were being monitored the whole time couldn't even have a conversation around the campfire past 10pm without having the owner and his wife continuing to remind us that after ten it is strictly quite time. No music after 3pm that can be heard by anyone even though we paid for 3 plots all right next to each other, the fire pits are all used and rusty semi truck rims they don't have any where to grill food you have to use the camp fire rims if you want to cook anything. Their 16 year old daughter clearly can't do math seeing as the first night we paid the full cost for our weekend and were told later on that we were short and still owed money. Lastly don't let the owners cat by your camp site it pissed on two of our tents on two separate days. We will not be returning to this camp site and same same goes for the friends and family we brought with us. 1/5 stars

We go on vacation every summer, usually with a camper. Our first jaunt from home was also our best experience due to Lakeview Campsite.

We viewed several campsites in and around Lake Hamlin, and Lakeview offered the best price, so we made the leap and set up a reservation. When we arrived, we were greeted and given a friendly rundown of the local amenities, fishing holes, and basic campground rules. Our campsite was right on the cliff leading down to the lake, with a beautiful view from the docks. Our site had plenty of shade, a burn pit, and a picnic table, all well maintained.

The staff are super friendly, and courteous, even going so far as to give us a free bundle of wood because we were going through so much of it(fire in the morning and evening). The views are outstanding, the people are great, the place was well maintained and we only had 1 small issue.

Most campsites have bathrooms that range from poor to barely sufficient, and Lakeview was no exception there. The men's room on the north side was small, had 2 toilets and a standing shower. It was an old cinderblock deal, no real space for a shower bag or anything, and looked like it hadn't been swept out in a long while, with spiders and webs everywhere. I didn't venture far to see the other toilets, but I hear they were a lot better, we just made due with what was closest.

Aside from the toilet issue, I would highly highly recommend the campsite to anyone wishing to see the lighthouses, the dunes, or spend some time getting away.

*side notes: There is no restaurant onsite, it's just a campground, but the nearby town has some good eating. Kayak and Canoe rentals are cheap, spending the day on the lake was beautiful. The guy in the lodge has some great fishing advice and they do have a ramp if you want to launch your own boat for fishing, just be aware Upper Hamlin is very shallow(4-5 feet in most areas), and very dense with plants.
