Beautiful place great facilities, bring your own canoes and bikes. We stayed in tents.
I've come here for both the campgrounds and for the resort, and both have been so clean with very friendly staff. I really enjoy my time at Lake Raystown in this complex. There are so many activities to partake in: boating, the waterpark, sunning at the beach, you just can't be bored. As far as the rooms at the hotel, I am really impressed with the cleanliness and comfort. Everything has been superbly clean, the rooms are large, and they have views of the lake. It's expensive, but I am confident in saying it's worth it.
Came here for a friend's wedding. The grounds and everything was very beautiful. The staff were very helpful regarding the wedding. From what I saw of the villas and the lodge rooms, those were nice as well. I plan to go back!
I've been coming here for a very long time (20+ years) and have never had a bad time. I recently moved to the Atlanta, GA area but still drove the 11 hours with the wife and kids because this place is that awesome. It's the best campground that I've ever been too and the facilities are always clean. They offer a lot of activities and extras such as the waterpark, kids themed activities, boat rentals, fishing excursions, etc. Several dining options exist or you can just cook over the camp fire. It's a great place to visit with your family and the kids will love it.
The room was very clean. Our room had a balcony that faces the lake so we had a gorgeous view. The staff is very friendly and helpful. We have been camping at this resort for a long time and love it very much. It was the first time staying in the lodge and I will definitely recommend this to my family and friends.
Very nice cabins. They are equipped with tv, fridge, stove, air conditioner. You have to take your own towels and linens. They are located close to the water and beach. Ours was in a nice shaded sport. We did have a family of ground hogs living under our cabin and they started us a first but they didn't bother us.
My only complaint would be the mattress. It was way to thin. Basically a more of a mat then a real mattress.
Beautiful resort. Friendly and helpful staff. Stayed in the villas. View was amazing. The matress was very uncomfortable. The villas provided space and all the comforts of home. Great for socializing with family and friends.
My sister held her wedding here, it was very pretty. The lodge accommodations were great, clean and met my expectations. However, the conference center was to be desired. The "manager" Dan was very unprofessional. Was not willing to work with us on rain plans. At the end of the event his staff all unbuttoned their dress shirts, took their ties off and promptly began pushing our guests out of the room. After pushing guests out they began ripping tables down, forcefully moving our items off the tables. I understand that they have another event tomorrow, but this was all at 11:05. I asked Dan "the manager" who he was and who his manager was to speak with them about my concerns and he laughed in my face. Be warned, this is how he treats wedding guests.
I was here for a school prom, and it was a very good place for it. The property had a variety of features (a ballroom, a patio), which was great for going around throughout the night. The building was very nice as well.
Not even worth one star! DON'T HAVE A LIFE AND CHANGE A DATE! We changed the date from June to August and had to pay $25.00 fee. We were already paying $338.00 for 2 nights at the lodge. We chose the lodge this year because we rented an Appalachian Cabin last year and it was horrible, The bed was like sleeping on a railroad track! The other couple had to sleep on bunk beds! I would have been happier sleeping on the ground!. Unfortunately, I'm disabled so my choices are limited.
God forbid if you have to cancel! Cancellations more than 90 day prior to schedule arrival date will receive only a 80% refund, 89-31 days prior, you only get a 50% refund. no where on the website or the confirmation letter is a reference to a $25.00 transfer date fee.
The only reason we are returning is the lake. We are bringing our boat up to enjoy the lake. Next year, ANYWHERE BUT HERE!
Been boating here since I was 6 with my parents and also been tent camping here with friends just to kill weekends. Within the last few years this place has improved, there is always something going on each weekend dances, kid entertainment, water park, live bands etc. The restaurant at the resort has improved as well and I never had a bad meal that was worth bitching about. The camping sites are nice/clean IMO and aren't on top of each other in some spots. If you're looking for an overall adult/kid place to go for a weekend, should be good enough if you're a pretty simple person.
