Great place for walking and fishing. Great time for the whole family
We had a great stay here in mid-October. The park was packed. It is small but nice. Would recommend!
My late Papa called Lake Alma, "heaven on earth." Indeed, it is very special. I have gone camping here regularly as a child. The lake is very serene and the campground is nice. On holidays, they often put on little events at the campground. Great place to spend with family.
It's a great little lake. Nice beach. Good fishing. Plenty of picnic spots. Very clean.
It was beautiful and peaceful. However we came for the dog park which was disappointing. It was very small and the water was muddy. We were also disappointed that we couldn't use our golf cart. I injured my knee recently and have limited mobility. Not being able to use the golf cart really limited what I was able to do.
Beautiful small lake to visit. Lake Alma has two small beaches from which you can swim. There is also a paved walking trail where you can walk or ride your bike almost completely around the lake. People are very friendly. This is a great place to visit with your family. Plenty of places to fish and to grill out.
No garbage cans, man from main office not 100 yards away drove down to promptly tell us what we couldn't do, a very unpleasant individual, who then proceed to micro manage a volunteer who was picking up scattered garbage. The volunteer was more pleasant and helpful pointing us to a nicer area than the man working there who seemed very full of himself.
Beautiful lake with a lot of activities. You can swim, fish, and kayak. It has a cool little island feature also.
It's close to Wellston and Hamden. Always a nice quiet visit. I love taking my dog there and walking the paths. It's definitely worth the trip!
Pretty state park. With the island in the middle this lake is a bit different from many of the reservoir based state parks in Ohio. Visited in the late fall hoping for some late Fall color.
Nice place to take your kids, and have quiet, quality family time
Loved it! Campground is clean, quiet, most spots are shaded, and within a couple of steps of the lake and beach One of the better laid out state parks with a paved bike path into wellston!
