What a fantastic part of the world.
It wraps all around a nature based summer camp, so it's well managed and maintained. You get to walk RIGHT along the creek! It's gorgeous with very little elevation challenge for a bit both ways on the trail.

Clear Creek has many wonderful secrets and truly was one of Ohios gems, lots history, unfortunately been raped by Gas oil industry, right now one feeder streamlet feeding into the clear creek has oil in it,

An often overlooked gem with Hocking Hills nearby, I love Clear Creek. For trails, the variety of scenery to choose from is impressive - creek, lake (it's a pond), forest, graasland, bluffs, and ravines.

Of all the Columbus metro parks, this is hands down my favorite. The terrain is challenging, the scenery is beautiful. There is (believe it or not) a clear creek running through the hillside. Lots of moss, fungi, and fallen trees (in a good way). Try wading up the trail in the creek for a change of scenery.

This place is built for hiking. If you're looking for a vista there's none that I've found just yet. Local ranger said there is kinda of one but it's just a clearing for the power lines. Still a great place to be and plenty of fishing!

Easy access from columbus. Great for picnicking. Several hiking trails available, some fairly strenuous. Not crowded at all. Great destination for a day hike and picnic. Bathrooms are mainly porta potties, however.

I like the place but was surprised and disappointed to discover that most of the paths were closed to dogs. Can't understand why this would be if they were kept to a leash.

Clear Creek has been one of my favorite places to hike in the area for a long time. There is a wide variety of hiking trails that will keep you busy from anywhere between 10 minutes to 4 hours. The trails are beautiful and well maintained.

Arguably the jewel of the Columbus Metro Park system, this 5,000-acre reserve is one of largest intact forest preserves in Ohio, and offers a wide variety of hiking options. Trails are well-graded, well-marked, and range from a completely flat creekside trail to trails that traverse steep slopes. It is close to the Hocking Hills, and here and there one can see rocks formations reminiscent of the more dramatic sights in the Hocking Hills. What Clear Creek lacks compared to the Hocking Hills in terms of dramatic cliffs, gorges, caves, or waterfalls, it makes up for in significantly smaller crowds. While you would be sharing the trails with literally bus-loads of people on a nice summer weekend in the Hocking Hills, you would likely be able to count on 2 hands the number of people you would see on a long hike at Clear Creek on the same day. Clear Creek offers quiet, solitude, and expansive stretches of beautiful mature forests, and is well worth a visit.

Clear creek is some of, if not the, clearest fishing water you can find around central Ohio. It isn't very deep, but it is quite cool water. This area is great for a creek walk, as much of the creek bed is bed rock, and you can see 6-7 feet through the water easily. I recommend this for fishing, hiking, or even just a picnic.
