I attended as a transfer student from age 27-29 (veteran). Majored in Sport Science, Minor Sport Management. Completed 6 business/sport management classes. Completed two internships Brooklyn Nets/NY Islanders Sales intern and Brooklyn Health and Performance the latter I gained through an alumni of the school. Most important class I completed at LIU BK was Intro to Entrepreneurship. The director of Entrepreneurship is a black women with an MBA from Stern and B.S. from Wharton. One of the most brilliant people I have ever come across in life. The dean of the business school holds a PH.D. MBA. and BBA from Columbia. Take advantage of the professors and deans they're willing to help mature, driven individuals. The faculty will not plug you with their connects if you cannot demonstrate you're value (i.e hard skills and soft skills) you possess. You pay this tuition for the network and internships.

They treat like your a bag of money worst descion I ever made to come to Liu if want to see rats, cockroaches and etc in your dorms or in campus in general this college is good for you and plus you pay a whole amount of money which is wasting your time and education. The administration is terrible especially when you go to enrollment or the financial aid center they are trying to take away as much possible money from you. The only reason why I came to Liu because of its pharamcy program But The campus itself is making change my descion of horrible it is my advice to people is don't come to Liu period

Save yourself the headache and go to a different university. They charge you a ridiculous amount of money and you get poor/no services. It is a HEADACHE dealing with admissions and enrollment because they are disorganized and do not submit your papers, lose them, etc

They also do not provide you with accurate information or a list of things you do so you don't have problems and miss deadlines down the road.

You pretty much have to fend for yourself and figure things out when you go along which is NOT professional or the way things should be for the amount of money you pay.

There are not enough computers/printers for all of us. The bathrooms and elevators have issues on a regular basis. The school is not well maintained. LIVING HERE SUCKS (clogged showers, dirtiness, etc)

However I do like some of my professors.

My advice, only come here if you have no other options, like I did. This school is not worth the amount of money you pay.

This "school" is a joke. They set you up for failure. I regret every second I spend here. Every day I'm surprised with more s*** from this school. Save your money and get a better education from a community college. I didn't listen to the reviews on here and I should have. DO NOT GO TO THE SCHOOL. They just want your money and give you nothing in return. I've been here a 2 months and it's been the worst 2 months of my entire life. I am mentally scarred from this school

For profit university where workers are underpayed and the college is in dismal state. It's really a sad place. Far worse than other private or public schools.

If you like overpriced "education", rats and mice, developing mold and mushrooms in your dorm room then LIU got you covered, get the full package here at full price! You see the nice pics before you get here.. make sure you ask the students who go here before you sell your soul. In general the people are nice though!

Overpriced, sociology and philosophy professors pushing their own agenda, teaching lies without fact checking, teaching their own version of history. You don't learn biology, you just copy notes for 45 minutes, admissions department promises financial aid without checking financial department. Financial department doesn't help first time students or explain the financial process. You will be stuck with a huge bill at the end of each semester and the school refuses to help with finance or classes.

What a Dump! Over-priced and understaffed - the former-Provost now President Gail Stevens Haynes has put her family throughout the institution much to the detriment ofthe students. Let's be frank - older Jewish Profs and young black students do not make for a very good mixture!

Stay away - far away - especially bad for undergrads - Masters programs a little better.

Cockroaches in the dining areas swarm like flies

Better the C.W. Post Campus - unfortunately they shut down Southhampton Campus years ago.

Beware the five star listings which have been placed by LIU employees anom these should be reported and deleted

'A Google User' is a paid employee(s) listing very illegally.

Their treatment of the Profs during the strike mirrors the sensibility of nonsense of the entire administration.

There are absolutely no benefits to alumni other than constant fundraising "give money" letters They sold the wonderful Southamptom campus so many years ago what a crying shame.

I will say this. I do think it was quite expensive and should have been less than it charged. However, I was in the Master's program. All my professors graduated from Ivy league institutions. They were great and i felt lucky to have been instructed by them. I graduated from a big 10 school in Undergrad, and LIU professors ranked wonderful with me. That was my experience.
