I’m already well into my first semester at a college in Texas but I still get emails from this university. They’ve shifted from asking me to apply for regular admission there to asking me to apply for a transfer. Like I want to abandon all my plans down here, move all my stuff up there, and transfer to a university that doesn’t have my major and isn’t even that good. Don’t ever give them your contact information you will regret it.
the teachers and academics are really great, the environment on campus is amazing. Everyone you meet is super involved and interesting. The food is pricy and not super amazing but there are so many places around campus to enjoy.
overpriced low tier university. embarrassment. Campus is scary and very dangerous
Love the school and atmosphere here! Love the food!
Incredible faculty and atmosphere with the resources to get things done.
I work there its a great place to work.and i love the students.
great private university in Long Island. Graduate programs are very strong. Lots of successful alumni.
Awesome university and visit. The staff and students were friendly and helpful. As touring the campus, people spoke and talked and made us feel like a part of the campus. The admissions staff care about the well being of the students rather than number crunching. This is a midsize school where students and professors are able to bond. Its located 30 mins away from NYC in Long Island. Jones Beach is nearby is you like going to the beach. There's 20 eateries on campus. The dining hall is open 24/7. There's something for everyone to eat from pizza to burgers to sushi. There's also several options for vegans and vegetarians. I haven't seen that a lot in touring campuses. Each student is required to do an intern which will benefit the student in the long term. 98% have jobs or go to graduate school after graduation. There's a high retention rate of students that come to Hofstra.
Went to for a tour as my son is graduating next year and wanted to get a feel of the campus and standards. Place was clean and quiet, the facility was pretty new and staff was nice and attentive. Prices are just like everyone else so it made me feel comfortable and trusting that it is a good place for my child to learn and grow.
A nice campus. I play soccer here but I also attended undergrad school here. As with any school you have some really great teachers and some who shouldn't ever teach. I was a commuter, along with the majority of the students. This is both a positive and a negative. No Football, sports are not widely known among the student population. The school did have the presidential debate twice, which is awesome. However, there is much room for improvement for the price you pay to attend the school.
