Absolutely my number one go-to for sushi in Stamford. You can get in and out fairly quickly and when I'm on the run I can get sushi just about as quick as fast food.

They have a great by-the-piece selection, a good selection of specialty sushi, and even have a small hibachi section in the back that you can get to go. In addition to that they have a solution of items off the buffet that you pay by weight that includes various Asian Foods and shrimp and crab legs even fruits and salad

I cannot say enough good things about Kumo and that's why it is at the top of my list of go-to places whenever I'm in the area.

A buffet with Chinese and Japanese food. Plenty of seating. Ample parking but was hard to find a spot on Sat. Quality food. Hibachi noodle and fried fish was so so, but most come for sushi. Dragon rolls were to die for. Freshly made sushi. Desserts were mediocre. Green tea ice cream made up for it. Would definitely revisit for delicious sushi.

Good value good food. I highly recommend trying this place. They have seaweed salad great sushi and prepared dishes. I'm not a big fan of the hibachi side of this restaurant.

Can't beat the price for the quality of the food. I always end up eating far more than at a traditional hibachi restaurant, and the bill always comes out to be less!! Can't beat the options between the unlimited sushi, prepared food, and fresh hibachi. I also love how the hibachi is all mixed together, rice and noodles taste great together in one bite!

We come here a few times a year. We really like it before and I like it better now. I'm not much for buffets because I do not eat a lot of different things so I usually attack the chicken wings but there were none on the offerings. I ask and they did some for me. The service is always courteous!

The buffet here has gone downhill quickly. After eating here regularly for three years, I was really surprised at how bad the sushi has become. It use to feel fresh and now it tastes like the overly refrigerated stuff you get at supermarkets. What was really bad was the stale rice with the sushi which I just couldn't eat. The waitress came over and threatened to charge me extra if I didn't eat the rice. My friends and I were stunned that a waitress would come over and instead of apologizing insist that I eat stale rice. Just plain weird. I stay away from the Chinese hot buffet. It has that weird kind of tastes in their sauces that you find in cheap Chinese take-outs. My friends who were with me agreed. This place went downhill faster than an Olympic gold medalist skier. There are some great places to eat in Stamford, but Kumo sure isn't one of them.

Some of the best food I've had in the state. The one issue is the staff can be a bit inattentive disappearing for periods of time leading to one not getting a refill on a drink or any other various need. Though these instances are few they do happen.

I ate here this past Sunday was was extremely disappointed because my prior experience was a decent one. I tried to give them the benefit of the doubt because we had walked in at 8:45 (they closed at 10) so the food didn't look as fresh as they probably weren't making any more fresher food due to the time. However, the entire time felt very rushed. They were putting away food as we were eating. My daughter and her friend are both 12 (both over 5') but was charged one adult and one child for them. When asked about it, they said it was a height rule they had. Which is absolutely ridiculous. When I had been there prior they charged my daughter the children price and she hadn't grown since than. The entire experience has a whole was terrible. I will NEVER be coming back here again.

None of our diners enjoyed the food. From a large variety of items not one good one. Some had sticky sweet sauces, some had tough meat. Staff very unfriendly. Will not return.
