I stop at Krystal every time I'm traveling out of state. It's like the worst kind of junk food you can buy but it's so addictive and dirt cheap. The last time I stopped they had a special on mini shrimp poboys in several varieties. I got one of each. They were actually very good and for something like $1 or $1.50 each, which is nuts. Prior to that I last ate at Krystal in New Orleans and I found it hilarious that it was located at the end of bourbon st (and across from a 24 hour drug store) where the taxis line up to pick up the drunks at the end of the night. I may or may not have been lining my own gut with tiny delicious alcohol sponges at the end of one fun Mardi Gras night before grabbing a bottle of advil and catching a taxi back to my hotel ;)

Food was ok, but definitely overpriced for what you get. And the employees could have at faked some enthusiasm. Not terrible, but probably won't go again.

I came in for breakfast it was 10 minutes after hours of operation but they was not ready and did not act like I existed. The woman finally looked at me and said nothing so I ordered. She mumbled a price in which I could not hear but I was paying with a card so it didn't matter. SUPER RUDE! She never did smile or say anything.

We have to go there a couple times per year. It's the only one in Kentucky but it's worth the 30 minute drive.

This location has signs all over saying "5 for 5" meaning you can mix match a variety of 5 items for $5. This location will not ring you up at this price unless you point it out to them. All food items I have had from this location were hot and fresh.
