Had a hockey game down there and stopped after. Great bar. Great service. Great food. Will be back.

Best biscuits and gray in the area. I love the atmosphere too. Great view of the water and the bar just has a cool feel to it. Very "homey!"

Classic, "from your childhood" Wisconsin supper club look and feel. Fast service, great food. I had a burger with a slice of REAL ham, bacon, swiss and cheddar on it, and it was DELICIOUS. My special lady-friend went with the prime rib special and loved it also. Very attractive prices. If we ever make it back down there, we will definitely stop back to try the fish. For those of you complaining about the look, or atmosphere- it's a classic Wisconsin supper club. If you don't like it, stay at your posh vegan joints and leave the good food for the rest of us! ;-)

Typical WI restaurant on prime real estate that hasn't updated their decor or cleaned in 20 years. Feeling dirty when you step in follows through to table seating.
If you are interested in a simple menu where over salted, store bought potato chips are served with everything, this is the place for you. They can't be bothered to at least make home made potato chips.
The wait staff also forgot that spandex is a privilege and not a right. This hits one smack in the face. While chowing down on said potato chips you can watch two hippos fighting in a burlap sac right in front of you. What an amazing sight.
Overall the food wasn't horrible, but I can think of 100 places I would rather go.response / report this review -

Busy but decent food. Great view of Waubesa on the upper level. And Spaten Optimator in tap!! Ride the new bike path and bridge from Madison, 4 miles from the Sheraton and a beautiful new trail!

Open for breakfast daily. Usually crowded on weekends.
Great view of the lake from dining area, but not from the bar.

Good atmosphere, not strong drinks. They tasted as though there was no alcohol in them at all. But I've only been there once so I'm willing to go back.

Food was very tasty and a good value The service was also very good. Only downside was that they were having a bit of a fly problem. Not a huge issue, but a bit of a nuisance.

If not for our great server this visit would've been a sad experience. The food was very bland. I had to ask for a spoon to eat the spinach Alfredo because it was so loose. On a positive note their house made salad dressings are super tasty!

Great Friday night fish fry and the rest of the food is good as well with only one exception for the half chicken. The quesadilla is my favorite but the burgers are good too. Stuff drinks for a reasonable price helps too. Be prepared for a wait if you're going near dinner time.
