The food is delicious, the portions are generous and the prices are very affordable The deserts sold at the register area are phenomenal, the sizes of the deserts are absolutely gorgeous and the prices are very affordable (inexpensive, that is the deserts) It is definitely worth eating here!

It's basically a truck stop. The food is good and inexpensive. We were lucky and got in before the dinner rush. They have a great bakery some of the largest cookies and dessert I have ever seen.

This place is legendary. Possibly magical.
ALWAYS huge portions, great food, great service, and unbelievably low prices! Yes, the place can be busy at times. Yes, that means it can get a little noisy. Yes, that means sometimes there is a bit of a wait for a table. But, come on, people - there's a REASON why this place is so popular! It's amazing! I recommend coming very hungry, sitting in the dining area with table service, and pick one of the daily specials. If the specials don't suit you, then order steak. Always accept a dinner roll if it's included with your meal they are excellent, too. The steak is always excellent. You wont have any room left for any of the huge pastries, but you can pick one out to take with you when you leave, because you pay your bill right at the giant pastry case. My girlfriend prefers the bear claws and apple fritters, while I prefer anything other than those two items. Opposites attract, I guess. Only get the eclair if you have at least two people to share it with the same day it doesn't keep well. If you're on your way to the office or a meeting, then just pick up some cookies to share they're all good, and a very inexpensive way to make you popular. Note that there may well be some sugar-free cookie options you might want to consider, and also note that there is a second, smaller pasty case on the opposite side of the building, right where you would pay for gasoline. That's the best option if you're just passing through, refueling, and want to be popular at the office (see above).

What a wonderful departure from the ordinary! This place was stellar. The food was great. The service was outstanding. The deserts looked absolutely indulgent. The next time I am anywhere near this place I will definitely be going back.

Our server was very pleasant. Smiley. Greeted when we arrived by several people. Very nice atmosphere.
The food was good and I would say reasonably priced.
The only reason it got 4 stars instead of 5 was because the floors were very dirty. Also could not sit down with my group because several tables were still dirty as well.
Bathroom was very clean though. Always a plus.

Great homemade food! Menu has a good selection. Prices are good. They also have a big homemade bakery selection. Seating is somewhat limited, you will probably have to wait in line if it's a typical "dinner time". Hit and miss with the waitresses.

My friends and family and myself LOVE the Pine Cone food! Tastes homemade and generally enough to take left-overs home. The staff is so customer-service friendly!

This is a great place to stop if you need a break driving between Madison and Milwaukee. The food is cheap, good, and the service is fast. They have lots of bakery items and I know that a lot of people know about the cookies the size of your head, but the bread is really good too. I always buy a loaf to take home with me.

I don't give out 5 stars often. In fact, I'd probably give my own mother 4.5 stars and she's the best! That being said I love this place. In show business, a triple threat is somebody that can sing, dance, and act. Pine Cone is a restaurant triple threat. They have amazing food, a top-notch bakery, and happy people. Well played Pine Cone, well played.

You must eat here. If you're anywhere near here it's where you want to eat. Cheap prices and large servings. On your way out, make sure you get yourself a fancy treat for the road.
We ordered the 2 piece cinnamon french toast (which was huge) with a large sausage patty, 2 stack blueberry pancakes (which filled the plate) with 3 sausage links, an (enormous) belt buster cheeseburger with fries, a reuben sandwich (which I've had twice now) with fries, a roast beef sandwich with mashed potatoes, gravy, a salad, and a in house bakery made dinner bun, ice tea, coffee, chocolate milk and 2 sodas for $46.17 including tax.

I've loved this place forever! Many years. One of the last good old truck stops. Their baked goods are the best! Better Cream Puff than Wisconsin State Fair's!!! And I think it's cheaper, too. Same as the one in Deforest, WI. Great people, great food.

We have been stopping here for years. It is one of the best family restaurants and truck stops combined. I've traveled all over. They have lots of homestyle food options. However the real gem is after your done with your meal. You can get treats to go! Oversized sweet treats that are to die for. Everything is baked fresh daily. You will want to grab some cookies, cream puffs, and other wonderful sweets. We'll always stop here when passing through.

The Pine Cone is not just a truck stop but a great restaurant and bakery that attracts hungry locals and road travelers alike. The American-style menu offers up hearty meals that truckers look for as well as fit-fare food selections for the weight consious. Great coffee, friendly service and a wide selection of meals to suit nearly every palate! If you can't find exactly what you'd like on the menu, be sure to tell the waitstaff as they'll do their best to bring you what you'd prefer.

You need to get the cream puffs! They are absolutely enormous and at a great price. They have a lot of great bakery items, and they are all low-cost. I just recently stumbled up more than just the bakery counter and found their food and service excellent. If you're driving through the area, stop. It doesn't hurt that the outlets are within walking distance.
