It was fine. Found what I was looking right away.
I spent 5 times as long in line as I did shopping, maybe hire more holiday help, if I didn't need what I was buying for work I would have left.
I waited in line at the only checkout lane that was open at one corner of the store for about 15 minutes only to be told my jeans I selected were not $49.99 on sale, but instead, buy one get one half off at $88. I thought maybe I made the mistake and went back to check or return them to the rack. I took a picture of the sale sign and returned and waited in line again for another 10 minutes. The cashier was very nice and understanding and saw the picture and called a manager to OK the price change. The manager (An Indian lady whose name I cannot remember) came to the cashier station and told me that however it rings up is the correct price. I showed her the picture and told her that her signage is in error and it is advertised on the rack at $49.99. She went back to check. When she returned she said "no, that's for the T-shirts, you misread it". I'm not a moron, and nobody in their right mind would pay $88.. or even $49 for a t-shirt at kohls, so I walked back with her to prove her wrong.. as I approached the sign on the rack, the red SALE sign was missing and the digital price sign showing $49.99 was TURNED OFF! I showed her the picture I took that clearly is next to the jeans on the rack and says "DENIM", and then I voiced my concern over the matter and told her that I don't appreciate the bait-and-switch tactic, nor the deception. All I got in return was attitude and disrespect. I was going to file a formal complaint to Kohls, but I went to their northeast location in town and got them for even cheaper than $49 and their manager was very nice and even showed me where I could find them in the store.
Wide variety with reasonable price for all ages supported by guidance and quick service. Satisfied.
I saw roaches going into the dressing rooms. I told some girls hanging up clothes. They said they already knew that and then ignored me. I stopped a manager and told them. She apologized and said she would take care of it right away.
OK 2 stars has nothing to do with prices and selection. Selection is great, price above average unless you use their card, Kohls cash or other discounts that brings the price down to "reasonable" and occasionally a great buy. The 2 stars is for customer service. Checkout line was a nightmare mostly because of: lack of cashiers, poorly trained cashiers, the hoops they had to go through to put in every discount. Spent more time in the checkout line than we actually did in the store
I really like Kohl's selection. I do wish that they would carry a younger style of women's clothing. Kind of same ol same ol selection. Also not enough area to display items. Everything is crammed into a small space and very disorganized. Other than that I love this store.
While the overall experience and options of the store are good, checking out takes 20 minutes plus. on my latest visit, I just set my purchases down and left. It was only around $150, I'm sure Khol's doesn't care

I really like the quality of most things here I just wish they weren't so expensive.
I do love the clothes and the people are always friendly. The only problem I have is it seems they over price somethings just to have "sales." Yes, sometimes the sales are really great, but other times it's the price you would pay somewhere else.
Kohl's not customer friendly
Saturday 12/10/16 - shopping with my 88 year old mother. She selected 2 men's shirts for gifts, electronic sign marked $9.99 among $100+$ worth of gifts. The shirts rang up as $24.99 ea. We asked cashier to check price, she called back and people in area checked price. In the interim, an employee named Goldee who seemed to be in management role saw the slow down the price check was causing at check out. She said if they rang up as $24.99 that was the price. I went back to dept as my mom and the cashier waited. I showed the associate saw the rack - it said $14.99 & $34.99. I said I could have made a mistake in seeing $9.99. She told me in this case, if marked wrong the policy is the customer gets the shirts for price he saw. She came up and told Goldee what she saw. Goldee told Cashier they rang up as $24.99 that is the price. She told me - "the prices and inventory are quite mixed up this time of year so how ever they ring up is what the price is, have a nice holiday."
I'm quite willing to admit when I'm wrong. When a store associate tells me the policy, they were marked wrong - and it comes to my almost 90 year old mother being forced to pay $30 more so as not to cause a problem - that's not a customer friendly story.
Amazing deals and prices hassle free returns!! Although they could clean up the shoe department it's always a mess!!!
