The boardwalk is well-kept, and it was about 1.8 miles for a round-trip walk with benches here and there. This was a great place for my mom to walk, who is recovering from a broken knee. It's good for disabled access, such as wheelchairs or crutches, but there is beautiful birds and wildlife. I counted 20 species of birds at least! There was a restroom and trash cans at the entrance too. Thanks to the park ranger who told us about it :)

I found this park to be very interesting as it is really far from any human settlements(or atleast that's how I felt) and the thing that I really like about this place is it being far from any illuminating sources which helps in observing clear skies in nights provided you have no clouds and humidity. Please dress that covers your body to protect yourself from mosquitoes. There is a restroom on-site but the stench was horrible.

Great option to discover amazing landscapes of Everglades. A 1-mile wooden walkway above the ground allows to watch birds and alligators with a great perspective. Photographers will enjoy this place.

One of the best places in Florida (or on the East Coast) to see a true dark sky. It's beautiful and amazing. Check the conditions before you go and aim for a clear night when the moon isn't large and interfering with visibility. This is a simple but extremely useful roadside park. I'm so glad it exists. I drive from NW Broward occasionally and it's totally worth it. Make a fun night out of it with a friend. It's life-changing!
