This month my family and I had visited Key West. When we travel, I like to stay a major chain hotel for the peace of mind and safety of my family.

Well not this Courtyard By Marriott located a 3031 N. Roosevelt Blvd.

Now I know why they do not charge resort fees, because it is far from a resort.

The headliner for this hotel should be BEAKFAST WITH THE ROAHES, or SWIM WITH THE REPTILES.

The staff was rude, and could care less. There was no phone, nor could they fix it. and the Hotel had no water, nor did they make any other plans or compensations for the guest.

When booking things to do at the hotel desk, they misquoted prices, then charged us extra.

One night when going to Duval Street, there were two police cars at the hotel. When I asked the hotel employee what had happened, he replied that there was an allegation that an hotel employee took a guest property.

On more then one occasion I asked to speak to a manager or supervisor, however there was always none available. Even after emailing the corporate office before I left the hotel, no one addressed my concerns.

When I checked out again the staff questioned if I received by itemized bill under the door, and I said no. When I received the bill there when erroneous charges on the bill. Maybe this is why I never received the bill under the door.

    Thank you.

    Patrick

I recently visited key west for a couple of days. I have been there before. While I know areas like that do up the price of things , Key West is going over the top for what you get there. Hotel prices are thorough the roof even at places like Fairfield Inn. I stayed at a Courtyard by Marriott which was 379 per night with no view and the hotel wasn't that nice. What was the part I really didn't like were the taxes . At a rate of 12.5 percent I paid almost 100 dollars for two nights in tax. I would suggest if you want Caribbean feel there are other places a lot more laid back and you get more for your money.

This was my forth trip to Key West Florida. The cost of everything is a joke nothing but pick your pockets clean. Cabs that charge .70 for a 1/5 of a mile which equates to 15.00 per mile, pay to park 30.00 - 40.00 per lot. Then insult pay to park on municipal spots what a joke. Taxes on top of taxes. This was just a few things to many to mention. No one will care, the commerce dept. and political parties must have some fat wallets. Be ready to give up your first born to travel on the toll roads as well. Shame on all of you. My last trip to Florida and will never say anything good about my time spent there. I'm going for a prostate exam to make sure my ass is still with me and they didn't want that to. I just hope I'm around to see the ocean reclaim it!

I found much to my dismay how rude a lady named Virginia was. She seemed bothered by our questions and could not wait to get rid of us. Help from a lady named Gladys who worked there was very considerate and helpful. Whatever they are paying that Virginia is wasted money!!!! Next time I am taking my family where there are not so many homeless and beggars, not to mention drunks
