Don't recommend attempting without 4 wheel drive vehicle. The gravel "road" is a little too much for normal to low sitting vehicles. Many pot holes that you can bottom out on if you're not super careful.

This is more of a warning to those who dont have Jeeps, SUVs, ATVs, etc.

You'd think this is a remote enough place to hide a body but its not. 3 cars showed up the night we were there. The sunrise is amazing from here and the Aurora is visible when the ionosphere is cooperative. Would attend again. This is an unimproved site in one of the most remote parts of Michigan. Plan accordingly. Bring a PLB because if you get in trouble your cell phone will not work.

One of the best campsites I have ever seen. It is hard to get to which makes it nice and secluded. The Highpoint trail is a good way to get to this spot.

Nice little beach. Can be hard to reach and it would be recommend to make the attempt in something with some clearance and 4WD. Not much as far as historic, or at least not many signs left behind. There is a concrete slab, a rail of some sort and a historical marker. Would not advise the trip if what you wanted to see was a NASA site.

Scenic site with a little bit of history too. Disrespectful people often will set up their campers right on top of the historical marker, so if you can't find it hunt around, it could be being used as someone's kitchen table.
