Great service super helpful very nice beautiful view
I am a local and have had the pleasure of visiting Kayak Amelia on several occasions. Today, we took a wonderful SUP (Stand Up Paddleboard) Intro Class. The price was reasonable and the instructor was fantastic. I highly recommend finding any excuse you can think of to visit this awesome little piece of paradise and see for yourself.
Kayak Amelia Rocks!! We took a Segway tour with Buddy and he was so patient and kind and we got it down and were on our way in no time. I also rent kayaks here as they have one of the best places to launch and some of the most knowledgeable staff for the back waters. Thank you Buddy for the good time my nephew loved it!
Wonderful morning kayak trip! Scenery, weather, stillnessperfection. Only down side was our life jackets that came with Kayak rentals were in rough shape. They are washable and should be, wow!
Awesome spot. Little more than I like to spend but it was a great experience and I had fun. I'm definitely going back.
The little gift shop is really nice and the staff is very friendly! Definitely made sure we understood the map and were safe.
However, we were looking to find of of the sand beaches that were on our map or on the internet. The one sand beach was literally a 4 meter stretch. So park a couple of kayaks there and you don't have a beach left. The other sand beach was crowded with boats and loud music (they warned us this would happen). So not idyllic at all. And no, "sand beach" is definitely an exaggeration.
The kayaks themselves had no working food rests and the seating was very low - so in a comfortable hand position you'd hit your hand on the rim of the kayak. We had to carry our kayak to and from the water which was very heavy for me (especially after coming back when it slowly filled with water.)
In conclusion: the people were really nice and tried to be helpful. The homepage is misleading. It's not the best scenery for kayaking, in my opinion.
Really amazing kayaking place. Leads you through the creek to a sandbar in the ocean which is absolutely stunning. It is a long tour and the river's tide will work against you in at least one way of the tour, so be prepared to work out a bit. Absolutely worth it though
Great people and a relaxing way to spend a day on the water. It's a great place for a recreational paddle or kayak fishing as well!
AMAZING! If you want to try Kayaking this place is incredible! For beginners I would recommend a calm day as you will use muscle groups previously unknown to you, especially if the current is strong. For advanced Kayakers, as soon as you make it past the bridge its only a few miles to the beaches!
They also offer night kayaking for special events like super moons or blood moons and the staff is SUPER FRIENDLY and KNOWLEDGEABLE!
Highly recommended!
