Very accomodating and experienced
I am disappointed in my experiences with Kay's Bridal and Tuxedo. While the store offers a good variety and quality of products, both times I purchased a dress it seemed shady. Last year I picked out a dress for my granddaughter. It was on the rack with a sign that stated, "All dresses on this rack $99." However, at the check out we were told that was not correct and the dress and others on the rack were more. When we were going to leave without the dress, the price was honored. This year the store was actually closed due to the State Fair, but we were allowed to shop as the owner waited for a delivery. After looking at several dresses, one was chosen and purchased. At no point in either of our visits was it mentioned that returns could not be made. Very shortly after this purchase, another dress was found that did not require alteration. The purchased dress was never worn or even removed from the bag. When I took the dress back to the store a couple of days later well before the event we purchased it for, the owner was absent and I was told by two workers I should come back in a week after the State Fair was over. Although I came from out of town, I left the dress and my number at the store for the owner to contact me. I was not contacted and when I returned a week later I was told by the owner that they did not accept returns. I was then shown a small sign located behind the cash registerafter hanging dresses were pushed over for it to be better seen. I would not recommend this store as its policies do not appear to be consistent, shared appropriately, and it was unprofessional for nobody to contact me.
I shopped all over the Kansas City and Lees Summit area and couldn't find a single dress I liked. As soon as I walked into Kay's, I was welcomed and immediately tended to. The staff was so kind and helpful. They brought me beautiful dresses to try and helped me find the perfect one. I couldn't be happier with my experience here and the dress I found!!
Rented over 8 tuxedos from here. There was a new lady who helped us pick the tuxes. She kept trying to force bow ties on us when we wanted long ties. When the wedding day came the groom stood up to do the dance with the bride and his pants broke! I (the bride) had to hold his pants up through the dance and afterwards he had to change into shorts because the pants weren't wearable. When we broght back the tuxedos we told the lady about it and she didn't offer apologies or even act like she cared. Won't rent from here again.
I got my wedding dress from Kays and just loved the way your treated.
Beware - do not buy from here unless you are 100% sure about the dress. I put down a deposit and payments toward the dress. I cancelled the order a month later, but the owner at Kay's claimed that all the payments I put toward the dress were a part of the deposit. I am now out $300 instead of the $100 I had payed for the deposit.
My fiance bought a dress that needed minor alterations done. It has been over two weeks, and we still don't have the dress. I could have done the alterations my self by now.
