Visited Kean for the first time 11/18 on the suggestion of some acquaintances. The venue is nice, love the spacious outdoor seating area. The lattes are good, more expensive than Peets or Starbys but that is to be expected at an indie coffee shop. The only complaint was for the baked goods - too sweet and rather tasteless. I had the Sweet Potato bread and you couldn't tell what the main ingredient was. My husband had the brownie - fudge type, no nuts - which he thought was fine. I, however, again thought it was too sweet but I'm not a fan of fudge style brownies. If I'm in that part of CM I would go there again because of their nicer outside seating area.

Want freshly roasted coffee? This is the place. Several different roasts. They have a big roaster right in front, and roasting dates on each bag. I use their "Golden Mean." I rarely see them more than 3 days old.

Really smooth coffee that is roasted on site. Baristas are always on point. Usually busy, since the coffee is so popular, yet a warm and cozy vibe. Not too many inside places to sit, but there is outside seating also. They have a Mayan Mocha that is worth trying if you like a little spice and a little sweetness in your coffee.

Always stop by Kean for a cup of Joe on a cold day and iced coffee on a hot day. Since they roast their own beans, they have a nice selection of newly roasted beans. Usually take home a bag every three weeks.

Outstanding selection of coffee to take home and to drink there. Fabulous tea selection also. Attentive staff.

I love this place! Excellent selection of beans from an exciting variety of locales and a cool spot to hang out. Baristas are friendly and knowledgeable. Highly recommended for fellow coffee snobs.

Nice atmosphere with great coffee. They brew their ownit's a place to hangout and chat. Not to necessarily do computer work as they don't have WiFi. Also have interesting speciality drinks like "cold brew float" that I wasn't able to try.

The smell when they are fresh roasting beans is worth the visit alone. If you haven't taken the time to give a well crafted coffee a try, do it now. There is a whole other world of flavor that is kept from you by unnamed corporate giants who have a narrow flavor profile.

Ecuadorian sipping chocolate (w/organic milk) is heavenly. Think the movie, "Chocolat." Looking forward to going back to explore more of their menu. I love that they have organic options (which is rare)

The best coffee in SoCal. My usual is just a large black coffee of the day. When I want to let live it up the Classic Italian Cappuccino in ceramic. This is where I buy all my beans for my daily morning French Press.

Very good coffee, very good service, and ultimately very good everything. I visit this location 3-5 times a week and I can't get tired of the atmosphere. I hope they never change.

This place is my go-to coffee shop. Must try their Turkish latte! Great place to work but get there early or else you might not find tables. Love the ambiance here!

Love the staff. Credible coffee. Love the atmosphere. And the Turkish lattes are truly life changing :-). Okay maybe not like change it but they're good. They know how to get through one the most challenging rushes during the weekends when it gets busy but you would almost never know there's a line because they are on it. Great job guys.

I love this shop. It is so comfy and the staff are generally very kind and positive. The coffee is strong, just the way I like it. They also have gluten free muffins here that I love. Try the grasshopper latte. Delicious! The only reason it's not five stars is that its always slammed. But hey, the best places are right?
