I did a lot of research called many diffrent shops to work on my shelby, im glad i drove 700 miles to get my car done at jpc. From beginning to end it was a pleasure i first talked to Aaron who went over my many options, i decided to do the th400 and i couldn't have been happier. I do not miss my standard. Every step i was informed how it was going. Aaron's customer service is great.. there shop did a fantastic job, ive put 5000 miles on it and a lot of whoop ass on it.. im very pleased how it looks, drives, and races.. they gave me an estimate of cost and when it would be finished. Both dead on same price they quoted and 1 day longer than estimated. I couldn't be happier thank you everyone at jpc. I will b in touch again to get my gt350 some more bolt on power 1 very happy customer from buffalo ny..
Great performance specialist but always so busy. Hard to get time in a short period of time. They told me they were booked for 3 months. Wow.
Not sure what happened, but as a returning customer my treatment was poor to say the least! Having a tune revised seem like a simple task ,but It became a three week process.
PHONE CALLS NEVER RETURNED
EMAILS UNANSWERED
QUALITY OF COMMUNICATION POOR
I will spend my money elsewhere!
JPC is the best in the business. From street car to full out drag car they will take care of you. Been dealing with them for over four years now and my car wouldn't be anything what it is without them. Customer service is the best there is, they make sure you are taking care of all the way.
Iv been dealing with Justin's performance center since 2012 for my own cars and my friends since 2011. Iv has them build me two engines already, they've tuned two cars for me and Iv bought almost anything Iv needed for parts from them as well. To say that I'm happy with them is an understatement. My 2015 mustang is a dream come true thanks to justin and his team of hard working guys. When they say they are going to get something done, they get it done. Iv made my rounds from shop to shop and nobody ever seems to complete the Job, Iv always left other places with a feeling of spending money and not getting what I paid for. Never had that feeling at JPC Racing.
Great People and knowledgeable staff.
I'd give them a negative review if I could. Just like the review from Christopher Jones, my experience was identical, if not worse. I have a 2004 Mach 1. Same basic engine as his 2003 cobra. I took it to them, mostly stock with just a couple small bolt ons. The car had a spun rod bearing and I wanted to get a forged rotating assembly and a set of cams. Justin, the owner insisted on certain, specific parts that I didn't really want. I wanted stage 3 cams, he insisted I got stage 2. I want long tube headers, he insisted on bassani midnlength headers. This was my first ever time dealing with a performance shop, so I deferred to his experience. Anyway, they put the car together and go to put it on the dyno.
Speaking of that, they didn't let me go when they dynoed it. At the time JPC didn't have their own dyno but promised me they would by the time it came to tune my car. They didn't. They tuned my car at another shop. More experience since then has taught me that ALL reputable shops let customers watch them tune their cars in person.
Anyway, the timing chain snapped on the dyno. They tried to blame a faulty can gear which I'm sure they probably said the same thing to the other reviewer on here. For me, however, Justin wouldn't eat the cost. He cut the repair cost in half as if that somehow made things square after having my car for 4 months with nothing to show for it but a longer wait, a blown motor and a significant increase in cost to me.
This was a naturally aspirated, mild engine that only made 350 rwhp at the time with stock redline. It should NOT be snapping chains.
Finally, once I got the car back, it ran well for a couple months. Got maybe 15 passes out of it. Then on one pass, snapped the chain and timing gear went straight through the valve cover.
In what I thought was an attempt to calm things down after posting about my experience, Ryan Hecox, a JPC sponsored racer offered up his spare valve covers for me to have. Would have at least saved me about 2-300 bucks. So I drive two hours one way to his house only to be told "sorry bro, I can't find them."
So I get the engine repaired by another shop. That timing chain, after the new shop built it, lasted over 5 years. This time with about 100 passes on a 200 shot of nitrous and about the same number of passes on 22 psi and 760 rwhp through a C4 auto. It finally did snap a timing chain again after 5 more years of racing.
JPC has tried to tell people there's a problem with my driver's side head in their defense. They somehow have a friend in a Ford dealership look up my car's history. Well, Justin. I hope you're reading this so I can set you straight. My car was at a ford dealership, prior to going to you, for about 50 days because it was stock, minus a set of underdrive pulleys, and low on power. Losing to stock, slow, 4 door focus slow. They ran a ton of diagnostics and even tore down the motor. Turns out the under drive crank dampener caused enough vibration to throw off the timing sensor. As a favor to me, they kept the work under warranty and recorded whatever they needed to (I don't actually know what they put) to justify the work as warranty work. There was NOTHING wrong with the head.
One more thing, Justin. The timing chain that finally came off 5 years later after someone other than your inept mechanics touched it? It was the passenger side this time.
You promised me a one stop shop and that you'd take care of me. You outsourced the work to a mechanic that took it to his personal house and I was not able to see my car even once throughout the entire build. You didn't stand behind your work. You decided to bad mouth me online rather than own up to poor, shoddy work on my car. The headers that you insisted I have were mangled to fit around the bell housing, the cam guides were loose, which most certainly caused the failure and bad vibration. I know you've come a long way, but I'll never forget the lack of professionalism you have and refuse to believe that's changed.
I went to Justins shop to have a Keene bell super charger installed, ended up spending $20,000 and the car ran like crap! Idle was bad, had a trailer hitch in 5 & 6 gear, wrong serpentine belt, unclamped vacuum hose and I can go on and on! Took it back a couple of times with no positive results! No! The shop do not stand behind there work! In fact they do very shabby work, take yur money n give u the boot! Ended up taking the car to the shop I should have taken it to in the first place (HBH) and now it's running like it's suppose to run! And by the way, their tuner can't tune! Their sheet said 530 rwh with no air n fuel ratio so all he did was run it on the dyno for some numbers! after the other shop finished undoing n correcting Justins mess with a dyno tune the sheets read 603 rwh 537tq with air n fuel ratio! Hmmm! Cost me another $5,000 to get it running right (yeah! I'm broke), I've ran into a lot of people who have had negative dealings with this shop, so beware of the smiling faces!
I emailed JPC to ask them a few tech questions for my car. Went to their website and filled out the form. The site says, techs will get back to you in 48 hours. Well 3 days later I got tired of waiting and just called. The guy that answered the phone couldn't be more nonchalant. He didn't really seem interested in my car or my current set up and didn't really have a clear answer to any of my questions. I guess since I didn't have a high dollar install they weren't really interested. I wouldn't recommend them if you have a simple set up or just need tech advice. If you are ready to drop a fair amount of money, maybe that will peak their interest in you as a potential customer.
Wow. Great people and great quality service!
