We had the buffet-I thought most of the food was pretty good- not fantastic. The fried chicken and the potato casserole were my favorites. Didn’t enjoy the cornbread or catfish as much. The. Undeterred has a lot of variety and a nice salad bar. The stew was a little tasteless. The country was great. The staff were very friendly and offered a lot of free samples.

I wish I could give this place 6 stars! I loved everything about it. It does not taste like restaurant food this is true southern home cooking. I had the lunch buffet to eat, everything tastes homemade, Fried chicken, cornmill breaded catfish, greens, cornbread After we finished eating a guy slicing meat gave us a taste of what he called brisket bark (it was one of the best bites of food in my life, I'm not exaggerating), he also gave us a pile of fresh sliced roast beef which was nothing short of amazing. Also they have a ton of different BBQ sauces I loved the original. This place is a must try.

Very large and neat country style gift shop but almost every food item missed in a big way.

While waiting in line to be seated, they were passing out a sample of ribs, they were excellent. I am always looking for great BBQ and this place was off to a great start.

After being seated, we decided to get their buffet since it had their pulled pork and order a side brisket. The pulled pork was more like boiled pork with no trace of that smokey goodness to be found. Later, we received our order of brisket. It was paper thin, but maybe that's how they serve side orders of brisket but I've never seen it served that thin before. The flavor was almost non existent. To me, it tasted like it was cooked prior to that day and heated up in a microwave. Never have I had a brisket so bad.

Opens at 6:30 am every day. Closes 9:30 pm Sunday -Thursday, 10:30 Friday & Saturday. The breakfast buffet is $8.95. I'm not a fan of scrambled eggs so they brought me out fried eggs for no extra charge. Good service with lots of sauces, jams, jellies, marinades that you can take home with you. And you can't leave without stocking up on their handmade fudge. And for the dark chocolate lovers, don't miss their dark chocolate fudge. Usually available Valentines day into March. The gift shop has an eclectic variety that puts Cracker Barrel a run for their money.

All the food was super yummy that I tried- not sure what Lady Biker is talking about as I thought the bread pudding was to die for! We will definitely be back! Waitress was super kind- I feel like this place is like Cracker Barrel with a more hometown feel! I bought some Sour Cream and Chive Pork Rinds from the store, which were delicious but tasted like they had sugar on them, called to ask, the girl who answered the phone said "The lady who makes them isn't here right now." and Emailed for nutritional info and no reply. They did get back to me- does have sugar.

I could just come here for the mashed potatoes. Wow! The lunch buffet was great. Not a large selection but what was available was very tasty. The brisket and smoked chicken was amazing.
The gift shop and "museum" is very fun to look around.
    We will be back.

Did carry-out from the buffet. Not a big buffet but everything was good. The BBQ pork and chicken were excellent. The pork wasn't fatty yet was moist and delicious. Their fried pies and homemade ice cream are wonderful take home desserts.

We eat there about once a month. The service was good and so was the food. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is the price of the buffet is a little high. All in all a good experience.

What an interesting and kitschy place. The general store is worth a wander and they have homemade fudge, hot sauce and jams which were great. The dinner we had in the restaurant was just okay though. I chose the buffet. A great deal for only $9.99. There was soup and salad, corn bread, cinnamon rolls, flat beans, black beans, chicken fried and baked and pulled pork and mashed potatoes. It all tasted fairly good. However, the food was cold (probably from the AC and not being tended to properly on the buffet line). The chicken was overcooked and the beans were too. Even for me the lover of soft veggies. My husband chose the catfish and enjoyed it and my daughter had chicken also and hers was cooked well but they both got the same overcooked flat beans. The price is good but the food was mediocre. That said, they do have homemade ice cream and fried pies that looked scrumptious. I'd recommend you skip the meal and go right for dessert.

Not really into smoked meats. The heart of the Smoke has is watching the meats turning and toasting behind the metal doors. Ask to see it. The rack of ribs were fall off the bone melt in your mouth good. Eat with out utinsils.

1st TIME TO VISIT Sunday June 25th from Marshall County Alabama. Several things: Great Food except the only desserts were Watermelon and Nasty Bread Pudding No Peach cobbler or a southern dessert on Sunday??? The free samples of fudge was my dessert. The Beef Stew had an awful taste. Was it vinegar? You have jars and jars of jams but only serve biscuits if you order breakfast?? The smoked chicken was dry. The homemade potatoes was so good I had 3 small helpings. Kevin waited on us. He never smiled and I had to get my spoon for my nasty beefstew and had to get another water myself. You sell fudge of all types and homemade ice cream. With the buffet, you only get nasty bread pudding. Drove 1 hr and 30 min for it. Disappointing in the food mentioned above, except awesome creamed potatoes. Love the country rustic store. It was like a maze trying to exit the store. Lots of confusion with who is leaving and who needs to pay and who is waiting in line to be seated. Enjoyed the video of Popcorn from The Moonshiners ha! Loved the old type cafe stools. Very pricey for no more selection of food you have on the buffet. Thanks for the free fudge, again that was my dessert..sad.
