This was my first visit to Charity's Bake Shop. I was waited on immediately. All the goodies in the displays look SO good. Alas, I was there (only!) to order a cake. Charity helped me decide the size I needed and between us we came up with a design for the decoration. Price was very fair. I'm really looking forward to seeing and tasting the finished product. Charity and her husband were very friendly and helpful. Will definitely visit again for some treats!

The person in the counter is rude. I didn't like his attitude. coffee is OK. The place is relaxing. If they can improve their attitude, they would do well. I may not come back here again.

What a great coffee shop. Fabulous people, pastries are great, breakfast and lunch items are awesome. If you are visiting Cookeville you need only one coffee shop, that is CHARITYS. If you live here, you need to visit them at least twice a week. Support your local business. .. Great job guys, keep up the AWESOME work

I absolutely love this little quaint bakery in Cookeville, TN. It has that country "at home" feel. The people are so friendly. It is like walking into a fairy tale with all the full cases of yummy treats. Not only do they have treats but delicious breakfast and lunch items. Their chicken salad salad is divine and I cherish every bite of the gingersnap cookies. If you have a chance to stop in at this wonderful place, then I say, don't waist any time. You will love it!!!

Went for the first and last time. Not much of a selection. The peach pie my husband and i got tasted like oil. We threw it out. Don't know it it was just an off day but I can assure you I will not go back. Was trying it out for a wedding cake. Always like to see how it all is first. So no.

Over priced sandwiches that are smaller than an average size McDonald's hamburger bun. No prices posted on desserts. Would not recommend at all.

The coffee, tea, and baked goods here are first rate. The only thing keeping me from giving a 5 star rating is the (in my opinion) rather limited hours they are open.

Very nice display of all their baked goods. The flavor on them for the most part is very good! The breakfast sandwiches and quiches are very good!

Nice little find in the historic part of Cookeville! They have tasty desserts, coffee and tea. It's quaint and usually quiet. Popular with the locals and traveler's!

Lemon bar- no good. Very fake lemon flavor too much sugar- texture wasn't pleasant.
Spice Bar- Dry & too much "sugar/syrup" glaze
German Chocolate Brownie- no real flavor
Chia Tea- taste like menthol and water.

As a baker and pastry chef my husband and I stop in many bakeries throughout our travels. We look for the basics- eclair, croissant, & fruit tart. Which this bakery didn't have any of these things.

We did not sample the cakes- so I cannot comment on the cakes, but the things we did try we're not worth eating- ALL SALES FINAL, unfortunately.

    We will not return.

I come to the coffee/bake shop almost every other week to work and I am always greeted with a warm smile and hot coffee. I eat breakfast here and it is the best quiche in town! The owner always takes time to ask me how I am and how my family is doing. I bring my son here every couple of weeks to get a cookie or cupcake and we love it. We love to support local small businesses, being that we are one ourselves, and we know how tough it is. We are happy to have such a great place to go and relax and spend time and get a sweat treat! If you are traveling through and need a break from the car, make sure and stop! Or if you are at the university and need a good short walk from studying, just head down the road and get some coffee!
