I am a hardcord Disney fan. The service at most Signature dinning restaurants is top notch, but this was not the last night. Good food, bad service!

My wife and I came here on our honeymoon, yes a bit corny I know, but we love Disney. This restaurant was the best place we ate the whole trip, and we ate at 5 different fine dining restaurant while we were there. Their preparation is near perfect and the menu is unlike anything else in the area. The staff were wonderful and made the evening special for the two of us, doing little things they didn't have to (even beyond what Disney park protocol is for romantic celebrations). I cannot emphasize enough how much we both enjoyed this place. When we return, it will be a meal we look forward to.

One of the better Disney restaurant options. Definitely not cheap but the Africa stylized fare served here was worth the price.

Excellent food and service. Some of the more exotic dishes are available here. I had the wild boar appetizer and the elk steak as the main dish. Now to find a source for elk steak in Pennsylvania

Awesome service! The lamb tagine and Filet Sovignon were delicious. Mood lighting and a relaxing atmosphere. Bar area on separate floor so that helps cut down excess noise.

Initially, I was very excited to try Jiko. My fiancé and I decided to go as part of magical dining, so we would get 3 courses for 35$. We had 8:30 reservations, and got there about 8. We were told they were seating closer to reservations times so we made our way to the bar.
We had heard that Jiko was know for its African wines and we wanted to try things that we couldn't try elsewhere. But then we saw the beer menu. We started with the Moroccan beer. It was very close to a Stella, light but flavorful. Then we transitioned to wine. We selected a red called Old Bush Vines for 9$ a glass. It was amazing, and we were told the only place outside of Africa to try it was Jiko. This gave us a lot of hope for our meal.
We were finally sat about 8:45pm. We had chatted with some people are the bar who told us Jiko was out of one of the entrees on the magical dining menu which was super disappointing because it was the entree we wanted (short ribs). But we were also told that if you ask they will substitute with lamb. So when our server came over we asked and he said yes, that they would sub with lamb.
So we each order different apps, the same entree, and different desserts.
Jiko Salad: This was DELICIOUS. It has a variety of things we had never tried (and we're pretty adventurous eaters) and each bite had a new flavor. The cheese was strange texture, but not in a bad way. The dressing was fantastic. I would definitely order this again.
Tibs: I would also order this again. Very flavorful but the best part was the sauce.
Short ribs: this had to be subbed with lamb, and I think it would have been better with short ribs. The lamb was fall off the bone tender and delicious but it was a very heavy dish that may have been better served with short ribs.
Dessert: I wasn't a huge fan of either desserts but there were components of both that were delicious. It was that they were bad, but there were so many flavors going on in each that they didn't seem like cohesive plates.
Service: our server was very nice, but it took a very long time between courses.
Overall: I don't know if I'd go back. This was our first time doing magical dining and I like the concept because our bill otherwise would have been double the price. Next up, trying Morimoto on magical dining.response / report this review -

We thoroughly enjoyed our Magical Dining menu options. The elegant restaurant has a wonderful and attentive staff. If you enjoy trying new flavors, this is a must try dining opportunity.

This is very elegant dining in an African atmosphere with African flavors. The service is impeccable, and the food is delicious and different. It is quite expensive, the dinner with wine and tip was 380 dollars for five adults and one child. The food is really well prepared and very unique. It is a once in a lifetime dining experience.

Great cuts of meat with no flavor. We asked the wait for the best appetizer they brought us jerky. Blahh. Then our food sucked. People just like to SOUND sophisticated and eat stuff regular people don't eat. Don't do it. Weird food sucks stick to steak chicken ribs burgers and tacos everything else SUCKS

Really stellar dining experience. They seated us at a bar height table across from the wood fired ovens. The chefs were personable and informative. My wife had a wagyu strip and I had elk loin. Both were well prepared and served with completely different but complementary flavors. Our server was well versed in the wine list, and his recommendation was superb.

As per nearly always, the staff at Disney restaurants are happy and friendly, ready to help you keep a magical experience. This was the case for Jiko as well. Food was more upscale than I was expecting; extremely well done and delicious. Knowing this place had a dress code, I donned a button-up and some nice shoes to meet their expectations. I'd have given this place a 5 star rating if it wasn't for others not abiding by the required dress code (t-shirts, ratty shorts, and even camouflage clothing). Stilland overall nice experience.
