The history of this place is marvelous. The build are still as they were when built. The Ladies pool house is used for Coed bathing. It has wonderful small area where a flow of water come out of a pipe you can sit under.

The water is nice but thats the ONLY nice thing about it. The management is AWFUL! The workers have a discusting way of treating people; argumentative, unapologetic, unaccommodating etc. No swimming, no talking, just $17 per person for 50 of standing still. Not sure where the money goes because the building should be condemned; be ware of mold, rotten holes in wood, snakes in the water, falling debris. I spent 3.5 hrs on the road to get there and wasn't allowed to enter because I was 15 minutes late to a COMPLETELY EMPTY POOL!!! Oh and there is no waiting area so you have to stand 45 minutes next to a pretentious/condecending employee. They act like they are doing you a favor by allowing you to be there.

This is an amazing historic gem and such a delight to visit. Forget the critiques on the installation condition. The healing waters more than make up for how wonderful you'll feel after soaking in. These are naturally warm sulphuric springs loaded with healing minerals. The water is so crystalline and beautiful you can see the very bottom of the pool. Yes, the bottom is mossy but nothing one is in contact with. Recommend the men's pool as it's deeper -- 6'8" deep. Make reservations ahead of your visit -- if you're soaking -- and be mindful of pools schedule and when to bring children under 18. Also note this is a quiet environment destined for relaxation so be mindful of noise.

The Jefferson Pools are absolutely amazing. The water is crystal clear and very relaxing. You have to set up a reservation to soak and the front desk staff are more than willing to help. The building are the original buildings from the 1800's, so they are very rustic feeling. Overall I would give this place a 10/10. Definitely recommend it to the locals and out of towners.

Don't bother, the place It's a dump and the people who run it are rude. The road (39) going there was fun though. Just keep going and save your time and money for something fun or interesting. I don't know what the people have done with the money that they charged over the years but they obviously didn't put nothing back into their cash cow. Forget about it!

We love the pools! We go frequently. We love the current state of it and we are hoping for the best on the newly renovated version as well. So far Omni is doing a good job on renovating the cottages on The Homestead, thus we are hoping for the best as "historical renovations" by big corporations tend to not go well. Note to self: the hours will be changing May 19 of 2017 at which point reservations will be required.

The pools are such a natural beauty. We've gone three times, all in January, so it's cold both before and after, but the "during" is delightful. The water is warm and crystal clear. You can see the tiny bubbles make their way to the surface. No one talks during the float time, they just soak in the peace and quiet. We took our two boys this past time and they absolutely loved it.

Rustic. For the price ($17 per person for 1 hour), I was expecting a little more of a luxurious experience. The walls are all covered with peeling paint, and there are paint chips everywhere. It was dirty and run down. The water is nice, though! And it's fun to take a dip in the same natural springs where Thomas Jefferson and his contemporaries relaxed. Not sure I would return, but glad I experienced it.

Definitely worth checking out at least once. One of the few natural hot springs in the US and this one is the oldest which it certainly looks. Be sure to call ahead and find out the hours since they change seasonally and the website is not accurately updated.

The water was warmer than reviews had me expecting. Not as hot as a hot tub, but really nice. Water is crystal clear and fun to float around on with foam tunes (7 ft deep in men's pool). The building is pretty ramshackle but that's half the fun.
