Small independent ice cream place that came highly recommended. The service was indifferent and there were a small number of flavors available, none of which were appealing. Could it have been better with other flavors? Sure. But with the number of options available for good ice cream why would I go back?

Great ice cream selection. Went two times looking for the non-dairy Joyscream, but they didn't have it. Funky little place though.

The ice cream was good and tasted fresh but the variety was very boring, there wasn't much flavors other than all the basics. The part that I didnt like was the atmosphere. I understand what they were going for. Which was a hipster ice cream shop but it ended up looking like a dirty almost closed down ice cream shop. No trash cans in the shop, tables where wobbly and not stable, chairs felt like they were going to break any moment and the floors were GROSS! Wanted to end on a good note. The employees and service was great! No complaints there.

Delicious ice cream and chocolate cake! You get to sample wild flavors that are created on-site. Beautiful place with a fresh flower shop in the back, jewelry and other natural items. My son and I went on a hunt for ice cream and came upon this tiny treasure! Great service, clean restroom, and interesting art too. We'll be back!

Jake's ICE CREAM screams local Atlanta (it's even right along the Beltline)! I ❤️ this place and the ICE CREAM has modern flavors with a classic touch. The whole atmosphere has an eclectic vibe with an old malt shop feel. All of the bakery and eatery items are made fresh by local chefs. Make sure to walk around the whole place e - it's huge inside and offers lots of lounging space. The Chocolate Slap Yo MaMa is all of my favorite things about ice cream combined into one delicious serving (and a heaping serving at that). Jake and his entire team always provide top notch service and you can tell everyone takes pride in working there.

We were just driving down the street and stopped by after seeing the storefront. The ice-cream here is delicious! All homemade. Very interesting flavors and names. Kids scoop is $2.75, single is $3.95, and double is $5.95. The single scoop is HUGE! You could get 2 flavors with the single scoop if you ask. They also allow for samplings. I highly recommend coming here.

Great place for a cold treat! I gave it the fifth star because of the staff, which are very friendly. It's a small town ice cream shop in a big city. Creative flavors like Hot Sexy Mexican (Cayenne POW!!!), Slap Your Mama, and Root Beer Float (Legit!). I tasted them all and they are sure to please the family.

First time visiting place and the ice cream was delicious! They had many cool flavors and I was told by staff, flavors change weekly which is pretty cool. I'll definitely visit again when I'm back in Atlanta.

The milk shake was good but presentation could be better (solo cups). I'm a little confused as well as to why I had to sign a receipt when a chip was used and it was $5.

Ice cream is one of my favorite foods, and home made ice cream is hard to find that is good. This place has great ice cream and the flavor variety should please everyone. The problem is which one to get they are all so good. That means I have to go back. The server was very hospitable to let us try flavors and he gave us large portions. I wish Chattanooga had a place like Jake's. The building has character too. Look forward to returning.

Delicious flavors (I tried the ginger, mint chocolate chip, maraschino cherry, cinnamon buttermilk and a few others) but the grand prize winner was the Salted Caramel! I got a cone and took home a pint! You won't regret it! Yum! A little on the pricey side but great selection!

HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE SERVICE! A friend of mine recommended this ice cream shop before I moved back home, so I was really looking forward to making a trip here. There were about 4 or 5 people standing in front of the ice cream/ waiting for samples so we decided to wait until they were done before making a selection. When the server acknowledged us, we let her know that we were going to wait, but that must have upset her because she aggressively told us to, "Come on." We were taken aback by her response but decided to stay since we did travel across town for the visit. When I asked what was in the Breakfast in Bed, the same server ignored me and asked one of her co-workers to assist me because she "didn't have the time." Fine. I thought that was the end of having to deal with her, but I was wrong. After tasting the Breakfast in Bed, I asked if I could try another flavor and the server from before hurriedly let me know that that was my last sample. ( There wasn't a posting with the max. # of tastings per visit and at that point I had only had one sample.)
Instead of letting that encounter ruin my evening, I went ahead and ordered a flavor without tasting it. The second person serving me let me didn't hesitate in letting me know that I was "working him," and he, "was supposed to be off 7 minutes ago.
Upon leaving, I didn't ask the server for her name because I didn't want the night to escalate and I figured it would be on my receipt. I wanted to avoid writing a public review, because, despite the poor customer service, my friend made it sound like a great place. However, after calling the shop a few times, I was told that the owner would return my call. That never happened.
