My top choice for fine dining in Louisville. The unique vintage atmosphere sets the mood for a meal of traditional American fare with local southern spin. The knowledgeable and attentive wait staff will guide you through the daily specials. The great wine and bourbon selections will complete the experience. Minutes from downtown accommodations. Reservations recommended.

This really pains me. Jack Fry's has been one of my favorites for years. The food was still great, but the service tonight was awful. It completely turned us off to the place. We we're consistently ignored and left waiting for what I can only assume we're the bigger tip tables. I'm sorry but one of the things I appreciated about Jack Fry's was the family feel. I'm done after the apathy we felt tonight tonight.

It had been about a year since I had last visited, but when I did recently, nothing had changed which was a good thing. Awesome service at the bar from Kurt and Ashley. Food was phenomenal from entree to dessert. It's hard to add anything that most people don't already say. I think the only downside these days has ironically become the location (if you are in that area late on weekends or watch the news, you know what I mean). I say ironically because not too long ago this was a prime area, however these days it is heading in the opposite direction. Don't let that deter you from going here, they have parking attendants and security cameras. This is about the only jewel left in the lower Highlands besides Lilly's and I look forward to many happy returns.

This is on my top 5 favorite places to eat in Louisville list and I recommend it to anyone who's looking for a unique, local, intimate vibe.

Don't go here to catch a game or to entertain a big party. This is ideally suited for a nice business lunch with 1-3 colleagues or a classy dinner (date night, small group celebration, etc.).

If you're feeling less price-sensitive, you can really go all out with some of their food and beverage options.

If you're wanting a memorable experience without breaking the bank, just order their burger and you'll escape with a full belly, a fun memory and an intact bank account. Pro tip: they make a great Old Fashioned!

Everything was very good. I had the pork chop and it was great. Everyone in our group thought the service was above and beyond, and they were busy. A lot of people were doing the X-mas party thing. We have been going to Jack's for many years, and it was great as always !!!!!

Many years ago, Jack Fry's was one of the top restaurants in Louisville - excellent food, cozy atmosphere, a local tradition. Expensive, but worth it. NOT ANYMORE:( Jack Fry's lost its excellent chef who built the restaurant's reputation years ago and doesn't seem to have recovered. Prices are very high for this city and neither the food nor experience justify it. I have to wonder if those eating here either are tourists who don't know better or locals who remember the place when it really was something. As they've tried to pack more and more people into a tiny space, the noise level on a weekend night is absolutely deafening - far more obtrusive than any other local restaurant. Definitely don't go here if you want to have any conversation whatsoever! Service is atrocious with special requests and even food allergies completely ignored. Many servers also can't hear?? Communicated clearly twice that I was allergic to onions and had to send food back when my entrée arrived smothered with them. Manager apologized and we waited a long time for a new order to return (with my husband eating by himself). Couldn't believe it when the replacement order also was smothered with onions! Nothing either of us had (appetizers, his dinner since I gave up) was exceptional and we certainly never will return:(

Mainstay of the Louisville fine dining scene for years. Not your typical Louisville restaurant. It's small with close tables and can even feel a little tight if you're seated near the bar on a busy night but the food, service and ambiance make it a great place for that special dinner or night on the town.

The ambiance felt like I had taken a step back in time. It was cozy and comfortable with prompt service. The beef filet was out of this world so was the lamb.

Restaurant recommended to us by a local business associate when we were in from LA. Food was amazing, great wine and drinks menu, and excellent service. Was really impressed (and, I admin, surprised). Definitely try the veal or lamb, and the spicy oysters to start as well. Will definitely visit again next time I am in Louisville.

It couldn't have been a more pleasant experience. We booked a reservation for a party for four over the phone and when we got there - a table was waiting for us. Sean was our server. He was knowledgable about the menu and the drinks --- the food was perfect. Simply tasty. We had the brie salad, escargot and the halibut. The perfect amount of food. But beyond that was the exquisite service. There was never a moment when we wanted for anything. Service plus great food in a cool vibe = 5 stars from me.

A local gem and fine establishment. Amazing food in an old school nostalgic atmosphere. Hand crafted cocktails as well.

Quaint, lovely atmosphere that provides excellent service and astounding food. Decent selection of meals to choose from that are wonderfully prepared.
Parking can be a challenge but overall well worth the minimal hassel.

Amazing pork chops! The atmosphere is dark and quiet with lots of neat wall hangings. Great for an intimate and classy date with world class food

No reservation on a Monday night, but they were pretty packed. We were just two people, so we could sit at the bar to eat and it was fine. The meal was absolutely delicious, and the bartender really knows his wine. Great recommendations.

Birthday celebration The tasting menu was great with the wine pairing. You will pay but it is worth it for a special occasion. Hurry before they change locations so you can enjoy the beautiful setting Happy to see the waiters weren't pretentious despite being a fancy french restaurant.
