  Please don't take your car here! My hot engine light was coming on so I took my car to Island Tire (north end). The guy said they put it on some machine and tested it. He said nothing was wrong with my car. He said it was just a "fluke" that my hot engine light kept coming on. I knew that didn't sound right, but figured he knew what he was talking about. The hot engine light came back on the next day. My gut instinct told me it wasn't a "fluke". I took it to the dealership and they said I needed a new thermostat. They replaced the thermostat and the hot engine light never came back on again. I am so glad I listened to my gut instinct and did not listen to Island Tire!!! My blown up engine would've cost me a lot more than a new thermostat!

  We thoroughly enjoyed our impromptu "visit" at Island Tire & Auto, especially fellow mid-Westerner Jim's "fish stories" and picts all the while our tire concerns were efficiently and speedily resolved. We were sent on our merry way to Missouri -- free of charge! Thank you so much. We'll "visit" again next time at HHI.

  Had a front brake issue with our van while on vacation. A quick search on google led us to Island Tire North, who quickly had us diagnosed and done in the same day. Kudos to Jim for driving me back to our condo, then coming to get me later in the day (versus a cab fare) to get our van. Thanks for helping us out!

  Had a dead battery on Monday of vacation week. The service who jumped us recommended going to Island Tire to check the battery. After arriving and explaining the issue, the tech took the vehicle in and within a few minutes, diagnosed the issue and replaced the battery. I then received a detailed explanation on what they found as well as all of the warranty info on the new battery. Although dealing with car issues is the last thing you want to do on vacation, I am very happy these guys were around and could take care of the issue in a fast and courteous fashion. Would recommend them anytime.

  Even though we were visitors at this location, they were so generous, kind and professional for us to use their lift to fix a panel that fell, tied back together and didn't even charge us anything! So grateful for their service and kindness! Would visit if we ever have another problem!
  After writing this, I've found out from my husband that they didn't just let us use their lift, THEY FIXED the problem for us! So we'd have given 5+ if allowed!

  After being at our vacation house for about an hour our granddaughter discovered she had a flat tire. Her parents had a warranty on the tires and Island tire honored the warranty and even towed her car to repair. They were prompt, courteous and very professional. It was such a pleasant experience working with the people at Island Tire!

  I had a tire that was rapidly losing air, so I stopped at Island Tire and Automotive on William Hilton Pkwy. Within 30 minutes the tire was plugged and I was ready to hit the road again. However, tire plugs don't always hold, so store manager Jim Lawrence went out of his way to make sure I would have access to a tire that would fit my vehicle in the event that the plug failed. You don't find that type of service very often these days. Even though I live out of state, I just might just buy my next set of tires from these guys.

  We had a nail in our tire. It did not puncture the tire. No charge! Honesty is their motto for sure. Highly recommend.

  Wonderful service here!! I don't know much about cars but knew I needed new tires so came in. Randy helped me out a ton and laid out lots of options for me. Everyone in the store was friendly and helpful. So glad I decided to come in here and I would absolutely recommend anyone on the island needing some car help to come to this location!
