Nice casino. Been there a few times. People are usually good, but a good amount of typical casino rats. Seems like the slots are much tighter than most casinos. Table dealers are very nice though.

This is a decent casino. I believe it is the largest casino in upper Michigan but I could be wrong. My biggest complaint is that they allow smoking in the casino so when I get home I have to take a shower to get the smell out of my hair and change because my clothes stink like smoke. They also never seem to have enough table games open. There are several restaurants in the casino and I enjoyed food at all of them. They don't have a lot of vegan/vegetarian options though.

The island is a nice casino. Clean building. Staff is friendly a and helpful. I have eaten in the sports bar, T Mc C's and the Coral Reef. Both had great food for the value. The sports bar was very impressive. I only wish I won some money.

Went to dinner at the Coral Grill in the casino. The food was awesome, I love the new menu (but bring back the pizza filled bread sticks!) I highly recommend the Italian Panini, they're a big hit with my family! Gaming was good too, didn't play long so I didn't lose too much! I would note that the entire casino floor and nearby restaurants are VERY smoky, some is expected in a casino but when I visited I'd say it was worse than average.

This cosine offers so many fun things to do for our area. Especially in the cold months. The location is perfect, not too far away, but far enough to feel like you are away from home. The service is always great! We live eating there, gambling, live music, and social events!

Steam & pool area was great & golfing was great nice weather!! Services were average, weren't so impressed with some of the dealers, comps, dining rooms hours & no payouts machines just sucked in the cash with little play time!! Had a much better time last year, not sure we'll return after 7 years of trips to the Island!

We had to get a deluxe room as all the regular ones were booked far ahead. The deluxe "suite" didn't have a small refrigerator or microwave oven. The Jacuzzi was small. I have been in other hotels where these were standard for the high end rooms. Employees seemed to be overworked and slow to respond. I waited a long time before someone came to my dysfunctional slot machine. Still overall, I had a good time because I don't let little things spoil my life experience.

I attended a work-related conference at this property. The staff was quite attentive and the common areas neat and contemporary. The conference rooms were spacious and well kept. The coffee bar and lunch met expectations. The only noticable thing was the ever present cloud of second-hand cigarette smoke from the casino. I suppose this phenomenon is common in these venues, but I found it nauseating. It is unavoidable when in proximity to the common areas and the only dynamic that detracted from my experience.

My wife and I usually stop in once every time we take a trip up the U.P. It's a smaller sized casino compared to anything in Vegas, but it has tons of slot machines packed into it's confines. There's also a couple roulette tables, black jack tables, and other random poker tables. They also have devoted poker rooms for tournaments that are held often. There is a bingo room in the northern-most portion of the casino. The casino has come a long way in the past 15 years since I had started going in it. There's a few restaurants and bars within and an ice cream shop and even a Starbucks! Connected to the casino is a hotel that has been remodeled a couple times and added expansions every so often. There's also a concert room towards the southern end of the casino. Lots of big name bands and entertainers have graced their stage. As part of their expansions, they have added a beautiful 18-hole golf course behind the casino. I haven't played on it so I don't know how good it is, but I've heard good things from the locals.

Stayed one night a week ago. The room was very nicely updated and clean. The beds however were very very hard and uncomfortable, pillows like rocks. Casino was nice, staff was pleasant. saw plenty of big wins around the casino floor. We ate dinner, my husband ordered the steak MW and it came pretty rare. He ate it anyway, he said it was tender but no flavor. We could go back if it wasn't for the beds

Uncrowded when we visited, had the place to ourselves. We came for an overnight stop and were delighted with the location. Staff were extremely helpful and friendly. They even offer a free shuttle from the campground to the casino!

Even though all casinos are tight and out to make money, the Island is extremely tight. If you are going out for a good time, save your money and just have a drink at home or at a local bar. Also, save your money and go to a nicer casino because the food is just ok, the slots are way too tight to enjoy, and the facility is not worth the price the machines demand. Overall, this place is a tax on the area and not an asset. I enjoy casinos, but I prefer to drive away from this one when I plan a gambling outing. Large gaming selection, however.

We stayed on the 8rh floor of the Palm Tower. The room was very nice and huge. Beds were comfy and the room was clean. We were there for a wedding and the wedding food was fantastic! We also are breakfast at Fire keepers the next morning and the food was very good there as well. Overall it was a great experience. We have another wedding there in a couple of months and are looking forward to staying there again.
