Absolutely terrible place. The administrators will take your phone on sight, teachers rarely grade papers, and there is almost no school spirit. Only a few kids I know actually like this place. Most of the students have huge egos, so it's hard to make any friends. Also, the principal doesn't really care about fun or happiness, she only cares about if we're staying in line, and not breaking any of the ridiculous rules. This is coming from a student that has been attending this school for 3 years.

My friend attended this school and was very poorly treated. Bullying was one of their biggest problem and they could barely stand a second being there. The teacher don't care at all if they did what they did since everything was a mess.

The way they treat special needs students is disgusting. I havent yet seen them engaged in activities and they are kept in a room in the back of the school away from interacting with peers. The staff that are suppose to take care of them yell and make nasty comments. Ive seen it first hand being a student. The kids here are very rude and mock them.

This school is the worst high school in all of Cape Coral; I would not recommend sending any of your kids to this high school if you want them to advance in a good occupation. The math teachers (besides one) don't teach math well, which leaves most of the students with horrible grades. The entire science department is falling apart losing some there most valued teachers. There is always a teacher leaving/quitting which means students fall behind until a new teacher is hired. The school lacks any type of school spirit and takes away any creative control that the student government may have. The principal micromanages the entire school leaving no room for creativity. The security is way under staffed, and there are fights almost every single day. Administration doesn't even try to break them up until the very end, but lord forbid if a student has headphones; administrators will take headphones from students but won't protect them from student on student violence. So, if you want your child to be a productive, on level student do not send them to Island Coast High School.
