Check out the adorable friendly puffer fish at the front door If you stop paying attention to him he blows water at you! Personality plus!
Once you track someone down it's great. Pain in the neck to find someone. More salt water oriented than fresh. Great store.
I have ordered several items from this company over the years, and have been disappointed in their services. First time with their detritivore pack which arrived leaking, but I was able to salvage most of the items.
Another instance, mysid order was mostly dead and/or non existent, however, they did resend my order.
This last time, a few weeks ago, I once again ordered a mysid order which came with only 2 or 3 visible "juvenile" live mysids and no adults. Moderate amount of sediment, and a fairly large bristle worm. Made a call and sent email to the company, they stated that order was packaged appropriately and specimens were plentiful and live before shipment.
Further emails to try to resolve issue not answered/ignored. Phone conversation really went nowhere.
I did read several months ago that Inland Aquatics were considering getting out of the mail order business, so buyer beware. Shipping is exorbitant.
They seemed to be much more helpful in the distant past, but my recent experience was very disappointing
Very helpful. Great selection. Will help with any questions you need.
Visited just to see what they had at the store. Even though I wasn't buying anything, the workers in the store took the time to show me different fish and talk about them at length. Very knowledeable caring staff. Can't go wrong st this place!
Just wish they had more coral selection like they use too.
Hobby so competitive anymore with online sites so i understand prices but it hard to justify some of it sometimes besides that i go here at least once a month to buy or look.
So much fun. A must see. :)
The owner and his staff have a passion for there trade.
I have never had any bad experiences with this business they have always helped me pick out what will work in my tank instead of what works for the sales. Overall I recommend inland aquatics given their wide variety of options for freshwater and marine enthusiasts.
Nice facility. How and where do they source their fish from? High diversity and it is like dry scuba diving! Very helpful staff
This place is terrible. There are puddles everywhere and it looks like you are walking into some drug warehouse. I understand a fish store will from time to time have a puddle or two but I had to step over so many random pipes, holes, puddles, and trash laying around that I quickly wanted to leave. Right when you walk into the place it's like a thousand degrees, very uncomfortable. I didn't want to spend my time in there for too long because of this. I was not greeted at all upon entering and the first two employees (both looked like they just got out of prison) I asked for help from knew hardly anything about saltwater fish. They both had to ask their manager to come over to help identify a very common saltwater coral These questions I was having derived from how terrible the markings were on the tanks, labeling the fish/corals/prices/etc.. Everything there was outdated and looked like it hadn't been cleaned in weeks. I have been to over a dozen exotic fish stores in the mid west and this is by far, the worst. The pictures they display when you look them up on google are so far off from how bad this place actually looks. I did not have any major isolated experience or purchase to warrent this review, just trying to shed some light on how trash this place ACTUALLY is.
Always friendly. Staff is knowledgeable and willing to share facts and opinions. Never any know it all issues. Prices are pretty comparable to all local shops. Definitely give them a try before you buy.
