Love this state park. We stayed once in the rustic cabins, but it was too small for our family of 4. They have an inn/lodge and family cabins that seem high in price. There is a special at state parks I believe in November that's a buy one night, get one free :). The trails are great and we always have a lot of fun in this area. They have horses and they can be ridden on a trail or walk around a loop for younger kids. There's a restaurant and a water area in the inn/lodge that looks really fun.

Beautiful park with many points to enjoy some amazing vistas. Nice lodge with a good menu in the restaurant. Nice indoor pool and whirlpool too. Also has a gift shop. We stayed in a sleeping cabin that was reasonably clean but could certainly use some updates. We will return next year.

Beautiful state park! The fall leaves are unbeatable here. Be prepared for hoards of people and the north entrance to be backed up for miles outside the park on Saturdays this time of year. I'd recommend not using the north entrance or the interstate leading to it if you're coming on a weekend during mid October. Awesome lookouts and towers and awesome trails!

Incredible state park. Fun for the whole family. Tons of playgrounds, family friendly hiking and biking trails, comfy cabins with AC and heat. Food was good, even if the lines were a bit long. We called our orders in "to go" a number of times, which significantly reduced our wait.
We arrived on a Monday and the park was pretty quiet. We had plenty of trails to ourselves. Will definitely be returning.response / report this review -

Great camping trip with the family. Never knew it was such a mountain biking destination as we saw lots of people getting ready to hit the trail. Park was great and our trip into little Nashville was a great time.
Only negative would be a lot of the camp sites are more camper friendly then tent. So if your bringing a big tent choose wiselyresponse / report this review -

Very nice park! We went on a weekday in November and we never encountered anyone on the trail we hiked. The landscape is beautiful and the roads are so well kept. We saw many of the cabins and would love to come back at another time when its a little warmer or when the leaves are still on the trees. Would definitely recommend!

Brown county state park is truly a magical place to visit. It was my son and i's go to place to spend the day in 2017. Countless hours spent walking the trails, playing on all the playgrounds (4-5 times a week sometimes), exploring, searching for wildlife (so many snakes!), visiting the nature center and the swimming pool. We even took our very first camping trip together here. I love this park and look forward to visiting it often in the future.

One of the best and first place in Indiana to see fall colors. Best time is after mid week of Sep to end of Oct. Have swimming pool, different trails for cycling and walking, people celebrate their parties. Awesome mountain view. This one is within few miles from Edinburgh mall, so that we cover both on same day. Indiana residence entry fee $7 other states residence pay $9. Worth for money!!!

If you want to ride the best mountain bike trails in the Midwest, look no further than Brown County. There is a trail for every skill level and campgrounds are always available. The preserve is staffed by genuinely friendly and helpful rangers and clerks who have checked us in as late as 12am after driving in from out of state. Facilities have always been clean and inviting and the fact that they have a giant pool open in the summer is just icing on the cake. On the road trip scale of awesomeness, I would give it a "must visit" if you live within 5 hours and a "meet-up with pals" at the 6-8 hour range.

The park is a 5 star, but when the are disgusting. I did see a cleaning crew going in and out of the cabins, but they definitely were not clean. We had a great time walking the trails and did enjoy our time, but come on how hard is it to clean the place. We rented two. 💩

I hiked Trail 9 (a.k.a. Taylor Ridge Trail) in April 2017. It was just a few days after a large set of storms rolled through, so the ground was a little wet, but the rock-bed stream was running nicely, and the greenery was thick and beautiful. The area was very quiet, with few visitors. The official trailhead is in the Taylor Ridge campground. Unless you are camping in the campground, you can't get to it, as there is no parking. That said, I strongly recommend picking up the extension that terminates at Ogle Lake. the terrain is much more varied, it's a longer hike, and much more beautiful, as well. Indiana does a great job of maintaining the trails at Brown Co.; they are clean and well-marked. Definitely will hike this again the next time I go down to the area.

This is a very nice and clean park. It also has a big Lodge in the park with a restaurant with all you can eat buffet and also a menu you can choose from. The food was very good and the sweet tea was excellent! Our waitress didn't come back and check with us very often but the other waitress did and she was so nice and sweet and was always smiling. This park is good for all ages. You can also rent cabins to stay in. There is also a swimming pool.

Great place for family outings. Horse back riding, hiking, picnics.

Picnic areas with grills and tables. Hiking trails are well marked. Large grass areas to just admire Nature. Horseback rides available, and Horse camp area for riders with their own horses.

Brown county park is a great place to bring your families. There are several trails, 2 lakes for fishing or hiking around. Horsemen camp offers horse rides. We love it here

We visited the park in early spring to catch some mountain bike trails for my wife and kids. The trails in the area offer a great selection from beginner to more advanced. Highly recommended. Also stayed at the Abe Martin lodge, which was great to be nearby the trails.

this park is awesome! lots of stuff to do- hiking, pony/horse rides, aquatic center (small but good for a cold, rainy day). would like to come back in the summer to enjoy all of the amenities, like the large outdoor swimming pool and campground.

Great place to get outside and just enjoy being outside. Plenty of hiking trails to accommodate any level of fitness. The hikes around Lake Ogle and Strahl lake were relaxing and enjoy enjoyable. We camped at Taylor Ridge for spring break week and found everything very well kept. Plenty of clean shower house/bathrooms and they are in the process of adding several new vault toilets. We didn't bring any bikes this time but will be next trip to ride the miles and miles of MTB trails. Can't wait to go back in the fall.
