Clean roomy and nice people
Food and activities close
Great place for family and friends.
Beautiful clean beach, nice large clean pool. We had a big private spot at the end of section c. Perfect weekend. I recommend the Hunt brothers pizza across the street fro. Section c and the Donut Shop in town across from the Sandy Beach Bridge which is worth a trip to walk across all i itself. Walk around to the back of the yacht club to see the giant virgin Mary statue.
How rude. Went on a Sunday day after 1 and wanted to drive through to check out campsite for a future stay. Was told "not on the weekend". How are you supposed to know what the sites are like? Won't be coming back here anytime soon!
They filled in the small ditch with dirt made alot of dirt clogs i ask a man to clean up alittle around we was set up. They rake big clogs and left alot of small clogs then he can back you thought I ask him to clean like I wanted it spotless. No where to park unless on side of road now fastidious park rangers said i had to park clear up in front and walk back!!!!! THIS PLACE IS A JOKE I WILL NOT BE BACK
This looks like a great place to visit or live. Lots of waterfront residential and recreational frontage. I considered for a second of flashback time to give the park only 4 stars because of the missing amusement park that closed in the 70's. But, it's not the park's fault. As a kid, I thought it was cool!
Really enjoyed my visit here. Very beautiful with lots to do. Would love to see some stronger wifi. That's my only suggestion.
Camped on lake, really enjoyed the park canals.
Went here with a group of friends, it was alot of fun.
This is a State park. The shower house in B area is Handicap accessible as well as the bathrooms. There are washer and dryer available for a small fee. Those were handy since we camped during a rainy weekend. There are plenty of playgrounds for the children and bicycling trails for everyone. The commissary has a nice selection of handy items and you can even get some hand dipped ice cream there! We will go back to camp in the future.
Really wonderful campground. Nice to walk around and cool channels to kayak in. Lots of wake from boats though.
BedBugs.

Story
Everything started out great! A nice little house to stay in for the night! Air conditioner table chairs 4 beds and a neat little couch. We slept very well after a long day of biking on that August Monday afternoon. It had rained earlier that day and we were quickly soaked from walking and biking the nearby trails. Us boys slept well while our 2 mothers panicked at 2am upon finding red and transparent bedbugs. They put a few in a bag but one of our mothers figured there wasn't really a point to waking us up since the bugs would do it for them. Fortunately the other 2 boys didn't get bit. I may have once or twice but hardly noticeable. My mother was covered in the bugs and bites.
Us boys hit the lake after the bedbug incident and diddle did whatever.
Our parents ran all the clothes through a dryer to try and kill the bugs. Hopefully it works. I'm sitting here listening to my mom basically cry over these bugs. writing a review still pretty mad about how I was treated. I had to throw my book bag for this school year away so that kinda stunk too. We had to throw many other items such as pillows, sleeping bag and memory foam mattress. We are probably not going to get reimbursed for much though we did get refunded on our cabin woot woot!
Mom has a bad knee and will be sore tomorrow so now I'll have to listen to that now. She's a hard worker. We Love moms (\ (o,o) /)
Do not ever never stay in the cabins. hint hint
