We went to a company holiday party in one of the banquet halls. The food was very good and the staff was attentive.

Seems pretty nice, but the bar was closed because of a wedding that night. Pretty cool to have a restaurant so close to a campground though.

Stayed only one night as a stop over to purchase an RV to drive back to Fort Lauderdale.
The bed was extremely comfortable as were the pillows. The room was very clean, and while dated, it was free of dust and odors.
The bathroom was clean and no leaks.
I would stay here again. The hotel sits on the lake and there was a beautiful sunrise and moon set!response / report this review -

It was easy to get to and had plenty of parking. Staff was helpful in directing me to where i needed to go with clear directions. Conference room i was in was well organized and cleaned.

Came to attend an early September wedding. The location is gorgeous - but a bit remote/quiet. The rooms were adequate - nothing special but clean and updated.
The resort is right on the lake, nearby walking trails which was very nice and convenient, as we had some time to waste before wedding festivities began.response / report this review -

The staff went out of their way to make sure we had a great experience. The room was very clean, updated, and comfortable. The beautiful and peaceful location made us feel like we had stumbled upon a secret beach. We can't wait to come back!

We were there to use day passes for their facilities. Very polite and helpful service people. The facility is well kept and beautiful. The kids were in the pool all day. We had a great time. Planning to go more often and try an overnight stay.

The rooms were very nice. I understand they recently went through a renovation and I'd say they did an excellent job. I partook in the breakfast buffet which had everything I could have wanted and it was all very good.

We were married at Illinois Beach Resort in August of 2016 and I honestly wouldn't change a thing about our reception! Kim is the best coordinator you will ever work with! She helps you through the whole process, reminds you when she needs certain decisions, and always responds quickly to emails. The reception food was delicious and the view was spectacular. Our guests loved overlooking the lake and being able to step outside for a beach stroll. Overall, the service was incredible and the staff made our wedding reception a magical experience! When we had our wedding, only some of the rooms were remodeled and the rest were half way done. Kim told us before booking that they might not be finished by our wedding date so it wasn't a surprise to us. She really is the best and most honest coordinator! We had our ceremony offsite but we did take many of our pictures at the resort. The resort offers many different backdrops for your wedding photos such as the beach, gazebo, forest, and grassland area, all within walking distance. We also had a bonfire the following night for our families. The hotel staff was very helpful setting up the fire and chairs along the beach. We highly recommend Illinois Beach Resort for your wedding!

My first time visiting and it was absolutely fantastic. We walked the beach and enjoyed dinner in the restaurant. The two for 25 prime rib was DELICIOUS! Our server Ashleigh was incredibly sweet. Although the restaurant was busy she made us feel like we were her only table. It's hard to find service like that these days. My husband and I plan to make this a regular spot for us now and hopefully Ashleigh will be our waitress again! =) I highly recommend the IL Beach Resort, especially the restaurant.

This is for the restaurant. If I could give zero stars, that would be more appropriate. We arrived for dinner yesterday, on a Tuesday night, at about 6:45pm. There was 3 in our party. The sign said "Seat Yourself," which we did. No one to greet us or acknowledge our presence. There was only one other table that appeared to have been finishing their meal. Otherwise there was no other customers other than a couple of people at the bar. No bartender in sight. Reminded me of the Shining.
We sat at the table for about 20 minutes. During that time there was no server in sight. No water, no one to take our order. Nothing. We decided if the dining area is so neglected, the kitchen would be no different. We left after 20 minutes. We did notify the front desk of the hotel about this.
Our experience would explain why all of the other restaurants in the area were busy except Illinois Beach Resort restaurant.response / report this review
