  Great people, great food and cold beer! The atmosphere is like walking into Grandma's house. Definitely a must see! The only downside is CASH OR CHECKS ONLY!

  The price of the food ranges from cheap to expensive, but the portions are very good. The service was alright but the food was phenomenal. I will come back to Helvetia and eat there. The only problem is that I am not entirely sure that this restaurant is 100 % percent authentic Swiss restaurant. I will write a follow up post if I get a chance to go to Switzerland and eat Swiss food.

  This is a beautiful, comfortable place that feels better than home. It's not just the restaurant, but the entire town of Helvetia is a great place to visit or live. The only "catch" is that the restaurant is expensive, but well worth it. It's expensive because they use REAL and pure ingredients, so of course it will be more than a fast food joint.They also have many festivals in Helvetia and in the neighboring town called Pickens. They have a general store and a bed and breakfast, so you can have all you need to make a weekend of your visit. I've been going to this place for decades and I have not one complaint. I highly recommend signing up for the free newsletter so you don't miss events like the Follow Your Bliss festival, the Ramp Festival, the Maple Syrup Festival and many more. You can also buy honey made right there in Helvetia and actually see the hives your honey is from, as well as the honey soap they make with no artificial ingredients. It's wonderful and beautiful and I promise you won't regret going.

  Definitely my favorite place to visit in WV. It's remote isolation has allowed the Hutte to preserve an unparalleled sense of authenticity and nostalgia for everyone who walks through the threshold of this place. Yes, it is a cash only visit so be prepared for that. Peach cobbler is a must have if it's in season. Feel free to roam around the different rooms and check out the pictures, books, and antiques hidden throughout the restaurant.

  Very unique dining experience. Service was good. Food was good. Great atmosphere of an old time house that was like a museum. They do not accept debit or credit cards so have cash or a checkbook. The nearest ATM is miles away.
