Terrible housekeeping if you're on extended stay, I was harassed by an employee there and watched constantly even tho I work 6 days a week. Definitely profiling. Excellent front desk service from 6am-12pm but they need to teach their employees to be hospitable in the service business and definitely need to improve customer service, and housekeeping

My family and I were traveling from Ladson, SC to Plano, TX. We had planned to drive straight there without staying a night. We realized that we wouldn't be able to complete the trip--14 hours in one day. With that been said, we ended up in Tuscaloosa, AL. Because of that, we zoned in on the local Howard Johnson. These hotels commonly consist of accommodating staff, and adequate rooms and amenities. Our expectations were exceeded.
While checking in, we met a nice lady named Tamla. She was very welcoming, and was very respectful to my family and I--she went out of her way to make us feel comfortable. I highly recommend this hotel for a quick stop to relax.

Great location. Staff was very helpful. Very clean, big rooms, great bathrooms, with a good breakfast in the morning

We were charged $218 for this crappy room. There were holes in the bedspread. No phone in the room. The main light at the door did not work. There was a hair clip on the towel bar next to the sink. This hotel is disgusting and worth about $30.

When we first arrived at the hotel, the scent of smoke in the hallway of the first floor was overpowering. The stair area also smelled badly of vomit. The rooms are a bit outdated and need some remodeling but are somewhat large on the positive side. The breakfast is not bad though, and the hotel is right next door to a Cracker Barrell. The ladies at the front desk were very nice and helpful. Overall the stay at this hotel wasn't great, but it wasn't terrible either. You get what you pay for if you choose to stay at this hotel.
