We came through and spent the night. The lady at the front desk was very nice and helpful. Our room was clean and it was quiet, even though we were near the lobby and directly across from the gym. The breakfast the next morning was good and they even had turkey sausage! Which I find hard to come by when traveling. The turkey sausage was very good too. Had a wonderful man taking care of the breakfast room. Very friendly and helpful. I know all this sounds like ok, but why 5 stars, you should be getting good service, clean rooms, etc. anyway? Well, no you don't always get that either when traveling, so that's why the rating. We would stay there again!!!
Nice clean place. Showed up at 11pm on a Friday night and had a room 5 minutes later
Our stay was not what we expected. First, the check in was fast and the desk clerk was very nice. Upon entering the room there was a huge iron burn in the carpet. The night stand had spills going down the side of it and the entire room was in need of dusting. Pillows were flat and had to be folded to get fullness. Floor had horrible soft spots in it you almost felt like you were going to fall through it. The bathroom toilet seat was broken and shower head had so much soap scum on it, I thought it was some sort of fungus growingYuck! I travel often for work and pleasure and compared to the other area hotel reviews this is the better of themyou have been warned.
The hotel is run down, carpets are disgusting in the rooms, the doors in the bathrooms have gotten wet by the showers so many times they are rotting. The hotel smells, especially the elevator. Hotel rooms aren’t worth what you pay for them. The experience for my husband and I was bad. I got the room by using Priceline which over charged us. I ended up washing everything when I got home due to the smell of the hotel. And I always held my breath in the elevator due to such a smell. Holiday Inn Company should be ashamed for not getting onto the local owners and making them do a good cleaning. I sure hope I don’t have bed bugs. One last thing the walls on the elevator were disgusting. I think next time when I visit my family we will stay in Prattville
This is the best Place to stay when visiting Salem. FRIENDLY and accommodating we were there for a sad occasion, which turned joyous because of the number of family members visiting and living in the area all came to the hotel and they simple let us enjoy ourselves. Thank You Holiday Inn
BEWARE of pricing!!! I didn’t even stay so I can’t tell you what the rooms are like. So I looked on line at prices at Orbitz Expedia etc.. I even looked at Holiday Inn site price was 90.00 and 95.00. So I decided just to get room at front desk. They wanted 129.00 for a single bed room. Please check your prices before checking in. Needless to say I went somewhere else!!!
Staff was nice and friendly. Room was clean. Lobby area was inviting. Breakfast was good.
came to Selma to celebrate a 100 year birthday and family came from California Chicago New York Atlanta we all have rooms that were on the same floor the service was extraordinary from the food in the dining room so room service and security had too much fun if there was a six star rating they would get it
Fire alarm went off randomly with no explanation, with right afterwards the phones in the rooms we had stopped working and continued for at least 3 days (might be more since they were still out when we left), the ac in the first room sounded like a locomotive and had to change rooms, the other one having mold on the ceiling so had to switch again. On top of all that, their WiFi barely worked and was an open connection, while the seeming entire hotel is enveloped in a dead one so cell phones didn't work either! All this for $150 a night per room. Breakfast was good, bathrooms clean, beds soft but leak in the window led to a soggy carpet 3ft from it. Guys, this experience sucked. It's two star because of breakfast and how nice the orderlies were. 1.2 if honest.
Today is Friday, July 14, 2017. At 2:41 p.m. I called to make reservations for 1 night at this hotel. I asked the clerk at the hotel to email me and/or fax me an authorization form because I am making reservations for another employee. It is now 3:45 p.m. and I have not received the form. I made numerous calls to the hotel (some of which no one answered - or the clerk had me holding for 5-10 minutes). What is going on here???? Holiday Inn-Selma, you need to improve your customer service asap!
The rooms were very nice everybody in customer service with very nice and did what they had to do throughout my stay even though they were overbooked
mix up concerning our reservation. Felt like it took too long to get a correction had to call three different people off site
Nice staff and good rooms
Not clean. Dirty towels and sheets piled in the hall on 2nd-3rd floor.
