Very nice atmosphere plus a heavy dose of delish. Server was knowledgeable. Local and regional wine list excellent. Priced right for the experience. Make reservations.
Decent food, expensive, with surprisingly bad service. I sat at the bar and the bartender was more interested bin talking about football with his buddy than serving me. Had I not been so hungry, would have definitely left. I dropped $100 bucks just for myself, remained polite the entire time and said thanks on my way out, only to be ignored. I dine out regularly with clients and will never go here again. I strongly recommend to take your business elsewhere.
I went with a small group for a business meal. We had terribly poor service. The waiter gave us the impression that we were an imposition -- in particular when one of the people mentioned that he was vegetarian.
Then the food took 45 minutes to come (!), and parts of the dishes were missing. I pointed it out to the waiter, who's answer was "You should have told me when you were ordering".
The next day I called to tell the manager, not wanting to write a negative review. He listened, and thanked me for the feedback; that's all.
How does it leave me feeling? The place is beautiful, but I would not risk going there again.
The patio area is fantastic. Great for taking out of town guests or a date. They have a nice little bar area as well. Appetizers have a great blend of flavors you would not expect. Main entrees are amazing. Each of us had something different and shared. I loved the beef tenderloin. Can't wait to go again.
I withhold my five star ratings for only the best in the class and this place is a great gem. Second time having a great romantic dinner with my wife was just as good as the first. I wish we could afford to eat t here more often, but it is worth every penny.
Love the garden setting! Sangria with triple Sec and diced fruit is delicious. Mediterranean tapa appetizer is a good size for two or one lunch, I wished it had more feta, tho. The nicoise salad has an actual tuna steak, most delicious, and crunchy green beans. Hubs had the croissant with turkey saying it is very good. The portions are huge! On to dessert, the coffee is served in individual carafes (so nice) and the generous sized ube cheesecake with marshmallow sauce is simply divine! The staff is friendly and attentive.
Stopped for lunch. This place is excellent. We had the Mediterranean Tapas for appetizer and I had the smoked turkey croissant. Both were very good and they definitely did not skimp on the turkey. Great atmosphere and very friendly staff.
I completely agree with the 5 star rating! This is superb New American food, very fresh ingredients with beautifully presented plate. Service is friendly and attentive. Large outdoor patio with tons of shaded areas to sit. My fiancé said his BLT was the best he's ever had.
Creatively delicious foods at all stages - appetizers, salads, and entrées. Great service and great drink selection! You must come when you are in this area!
The food was great, even though the vegetables were just a bit salty. The service was warm and professional, but slow to take our order and to bring the check. Only outdoor seating was available, and the strong winds had knocked leaves and sticks off the trees and onto the tables. This wouldn't have been a problem except that no one came by to clean the white tablecloths, nor the place settings, which were both covered in a thick layer of dust. And it was expensive.
This place is great for lunch. Romantic atmosphere and cool outside seating make it a nice break in the day. The food is good, and the menu changes regularly.
Love this place. Took my wife here for our first date over 10 years ago. It's much busier now but the food is top notch.
We visited Monarch again this year. Again it ranks for us one of the best we have ever visited. Service is superb, food is always perfect and the setting is romantic and quite frankly hard to describe. The dinner menu is a four course dinner with your choice of 4 entrees and one other course.
This is my favorite restaurant ever. I visit from out of state and always have to make a stop. The menu always has new seasonal items and the chef and menu items are beyond impressive for the neighborhood. It's an absolute hidden treasure.
I highly recommend the PB&J as a dessert and the meatloaf. However the seafood is always fantastic too. Especially for Arizona.
