I LOVED House of Brides. Their selection of dresses was lovely, but their staff were what really blew me away. I felt so welcomed, and they really worked hard to accommodate my budget, which was so kind of them.
My consultant was Loren - she was so bubbly and encouraging. Another woman popped in and out with advice and ideas - her name might have been Nancy? - and she was also so very helpful. I did end up buying a dress elsewhere, but I still wanted to leave this place a glowing review because it was just that lovely.

This place is terrible. We ordered a belt from here in February and still haven't heard anything about it. I keep being told that the woman who sold me the belt is not working on days I call or that she has to talk to her manager. Talk to your manager about what? My wedding is in one month. There is absolutely no excuse why a belt, that was ordered in February, is not in. They say there are no refunds and we will have to wait and see what happens. House of Brides, did you not order the belt and just take my money? Are you holding out because you thinks this makes you look good? I am baffled by the customer service and balant lies.
Unfortunately, our next step has to be taking legal action. We need an answer and as I realize it's just a belt, its also theft when you pay for a product that you never receive and keep being told "we're not too sure when it will come". People know its so expensive to pay for a wedding and it's unfortunate that this is the stress that we are going through and that people are quick to take your money, promising products they cannot produce.
Shame on your House of Brides.

I loooove this place! I came in here to try on some gowns to see what I liked and the consultant was amazing, super nice, and very professional. She helped me pick my dress and made me feel beautiful! The manager was also super nice and fun! Would highly recommend!

I had an AMAZING experience! I worked with Lauren and Nancy to find the perfect wedding dress. They both hand picked gowns based off the styles I wanted. They were super sweet and patient as I tried on 15 different dresses before I decided on "the one", They also did an impromptu bridesmaid dress fitting for my out of town bridesmaids that were there. They accommodated my every need an more. It was the full experience with champagne and celebration after I found my dress. Every bride deserves an experience like this! I walked out with my wedding dress right on budget and lovely bridesmaid dresses to match. Make sure to put them on your list you won't be disappointed!

I have been to this location twice now and I love Lauren. She's absolutely the sweetest. I've shopped with her twice and shes very helpful and friendly. I'd definitely go back to this location. Also I felt they had a good variety, they just need larger sizes to give all bridesmaids a chance to try on the dress before purchasing. Lastly my dress came in great time.

Really pricey in my opinion and not a variety of gowns. But what I liked is the they have a section of tuxedos and they aren't expensive. The gentleman we talked said that they lowered their prices and they weren't above $100-200 so that is great!

Very accommodations to my friend's wedding party even though we were a walk in. Dresses in a variety of budgets which was nice although you have to pay a lot more if you're tall or plus size with some designers. Can't try on bridesmaid dresses if you're bigger than a 12 which is rough too Still, an overall gray experience.

This was the first store I had gone into, and I had a great experience. The store had a large selection of dresses in different sizes, so I had plenty of different styles of dresses to try on. Maryann was super helpful and encouraged me to try a variety of dresses. She understood my vision and helped me find the perfect dress. Everyone was so positive and encouraging and made me feel special in the dress. They took pictures of my mom and I together, and even gave us champagne to do a toast. My mom was really happy with the experience too. She will be going back to try on MOB dresses.

I had a terrific experience at House of Brides in Glen Ellyn! First, I appreciated that they took me without an appointment (we called spur of the moment after having a terrible experience at David's Bridal). They had a terrific selection of gowns and the fitting room / viewing area was huge, which nicely accommodated my sisters and nieces that were with me that night. All that said, the most impressive part of me experience was the wonderful staff. My consultant, Mary Ann LaMontozsa was FANTASTIC! She was extremely professional, helpful and personable. She made what seemed like a daunting task fun, easy and productive I found two dress that I loved (and within my budget!) and returned a few weeks later to narrow it down and place my order! I also brought my bridesmaids back in for their dresses, and again, had a terrific experience that day, and we will be returning soon to order their dresses. I'd like to thank Mary Ann and the rest of the staff for their incredible customer service. I have over 20 years of retail experience and managed stores at a district manager level, so I have high standards of customer service and know first hand how challenging it can be to consistently deliver a great client experience, so I applaud this team for their efforts and appreciate all they did to help me with one of the most important parts of planning my special day!
