I'm no stranger to the house of 1000. My favorite beer place ever & one of my favorite places in the city. It's also nice when the owner knows his beers

Great staff! Try the GIANT PRETZEL with friends. Good place to kick back and watch sports or just conversation with friendly people. Great selection of craft beer and my favorite 12 yr scotch!

Great beer selection and service quality. Food is also very good. Only issue is when it gets busy either you're bumping into people at their tables looking in the cooler or they're bumping into you.

Lots of beer choices. For is above average. Prices are more than fair. Service is good. Owner is involved, welcoming and checking to see if needs are being meet and helping his staff. Which I like to see.

I had heard great things about this place for the past few years but finally got to try it today. I had the Western B burger. It was seriously the best burger I've ever had in my life. We'll definitely be coming back.

Incredible beer selection and looks like great food too. Only 3 of 5 stars because I walked away from our table of 4 to use the men's room, and came back to find that the waitress tipped herself with my cash. She apparently assumed my $9 that was laying next to my cell phone was her tip. She had to cash us out because her shift ended. I gave her a $20 and got $9 back. I got up and when I returned, I was told she came by and collected it! What?? I didn't want to make a big deal of it there, and I would have tipped her $1 per beer, or 20%, whichever is more. I guess you need to be aware when you are there, or anywhere, that cash on the table is considered a tip. I'm pretty sure if I was sitting there she wouldn't have taken it.

House of 1000 Beers is one of my favorite places in Pittsburgh to go to! Admittedly, it's not in a great area, but it's very welcoming and the people are just plain good, down-to-earth people. There are tons of beer options - I usually don't get a draft and just pick up some beer from the counter to drink at my table. It's cheaper and you get a better selection that way. The menu is very simple, but all of the food that I have had is amazing, especially the burgers. I love sitting on the patio with a good craft beer and a nice burger; you can't beat it!

Very good food and a massive selection of beers, both draft and bottle. Very attentive and knowledgeable staff as well.

Grab a beer and order the crawfish tacos. Then bottle shop till the tacos come. Eat on the deck. The staff is excellent and can help you pick out beer on tap or in bottles. The online tap list and new arrivals list are up to date. If you are looking for something in particular ask. The beer pairing dinners will knock your socks off, and don't miss the parties.

House of a thousand beers, everything you need to know is in the name. This is my favorite place to try out beers because you can buy individual bottles to drink there or build a six pack to go.

I suggest sticking to the many refrigerators full of beer rather than getting a draft. Their drafts are expensive, especially with all the bottles available right there.

The food is pretty good too! Get the giant pretzel to share.
