Very friendly only problem was the tv placement. Other than that perfect place to spend your nights. Free happy hour drink free breakfast at The Come Back Inn. Just a great place

Very cute and eclectic. Comfortable beds, lovely old interior, great staff. A delicious bakery which serves a home baked continental breakfast. Highly recommended would definitely go back.

This place is awesome! Such a great little surprise of a hotel for an otherwise weary traveler. If you are looking for quaint, you cant get anymore quaint than the Hotel Ruby Marie! It feels like you are staying in a hotel in the early 1900's wild west, yet the rooms are maintained and as clean as any modern upscale hotel would be. Perfectly located by a great restaurant and bar that plays awesome live music at night, this hotel is amazing! Thanks!

Our client Mike Albanese would like to share his thanks to the staff and management here for being so awesome during his stay! The room was very elegant and comfortable, there was plenty of parking even late in the evening, and the free breakfast was an awesome way to start the day! This hotel is highly recommended by us and our clients anytime you're near Madison, Wi!

Lovely, old-world decor, confortable rooms. One of the better free breakfast and coffee I've had in sometime in the downstairs cafe. Cool, quirky bar occupies whole of the first floor, straight off the elevator. Excellent, near- capital location with lake views.

My fiancee and I were supposed to fly in from Philly this morning and were so excited to stay at the Ruby Marie. Our flight was canceled and we had no way to get to Madison for our stay tonight. Even though it was less than 24 hours notice, Joshua so generously offered to refund our reservation. We are so excited to stay there the next time we visit Madison and really value such a rare display of generosity and considerateness.

A coworker recommended this place as I was coming into town for business. Really loved the vibe: def feel you are going back in time but plenty of amenities. Amazing baked goods and other savory items included in breakfast and daily drink vouchers. Quick walk to capital and lots of eateries. The staff are warm and helpful. I had a noisy room from some activities from the bar and next door; they graciously moved me. I will be back! Steer away from back room on 2nd floor.

What a hidden gem! Beautiful 19th century hotel with traditional Victorian interior design. Old school feel and neighborhood. Good food and beer nearby, and the wonderful sound of the occasional train out front. An overall heartwarming experience. Hotel Ruby Marie is now on my favorites list!

This place was awesome. First, the neighborhood is fantastic. So much to do and checkout as the neighborhood appears to be in the heart of Madison, WI. Too cold and don't feel like going out? They got you covered. Just take the elevator down to the "Come Back In" Bar. Warm yourself up with a drink or just take advantage of the free popcorn and peanuts. The night I was there, I also got to enjoy some great live music from the local talent.

The look of the hotel and the bedroom are classic. You just are not going to find a lot of places that look like the Hotel Ruby Marie. The photos in the hallway go back several decades, if not over a century. Despite the vintage look, the hotel has all the modern conveniences (cable, wifi, etc.)

The only thing I didn't like was how short my stay was there. I got in somewhat late that night and had to be back on the road the next morning. The next time you find your self in Madison, WI. looking for a great and "one of a kind" hotel experience, you have to stay at the Hotel Ruby Marie. I know I can't wait to get back.

The Hotel Ruby Marie is a real charmer! The spacious rooms have a historic feel, but the bathrooms are redone and include jacuzzi tubs (not to mention incredible water pressure in the shower). The location is fantastic, and it's within walking distance to many great restaurants (including the Up North bar downstairs, a relaxing neighborhood pub with live music). Parking is close and easy. And the staff was very friendly! For a seeming getaway back in time, with all the modern amenities, I highly recommend this hotel!

The Hotel Ruby Marie is an excellent place to stay. Located in the heart of Madison with a lakeside view, you can't beat this hotels charm and nostalgia. My stay was comfortable, clean, convenient and above all unique. The hotel itself is something to see. They also provide guests with a free breakfast and room service at each of the hotel's downstairs restaurants. If you like modern comfort with classic Victorian charm this is the place for you on your next visit to the Capital city.

Officially the coolest little hotel ever! Originally built in the 1800s this place has so much style. Of course they have made modern updates since then, but still hold onto an 1800s atmosphere. Classic wooden doors, wooden furniture, large vintage mirrors in the stairwell, and several sitting rooms. Even the curtains and the lamp fixtures in my room take me back to a different time. There is a nice little deli restaurant connected to the hotel that serves a complementary breakfast in the morning. The croissants and pastries are fresh, and I mean fresh! Both my room and the restaurant and have a beautiful view of the lake along with the downtown atmosphere. Every member of the staff here has been down-to-earth , friendly, and helpful. I would go way out of my way to stay here again!
