Looks nice on the outside and the restaurant always seems to have people enjoying themselves. We have never been inside just met friends there but hope to stop in sometime.

It's an older independent hotel in a safe area of downtown. That doesn't mean walk through the streets waving a handful of hundreds around. It's clean and can be loud because the hotel bar is a local favorite with a live band some nights.

Great party hotel. This place has tons of character. The Tiki Bar can get a little loud at night but just join in and you won't notice.

Our youth group stayed here for an event we had in North Augusta this past weekend. That was the biggest mistake we've ever made. We booked 8 rooms. We were given 9 rooms. At least 3 of the rooms had numerous bugs in them. One of them was extensively bad, with a minimum of 17 bugs. Our girls ended up sleeping in chairs and couldn't even sleep for being afraid bugs were going to be climbing on them. The showers were dirty, water didn't work, heat didn't work. We asked for refunds on a couple of the rooms the next morning and were told that we would not receive refunds. I understand that circumstances happen and there are times that minimal bugs could arise due to certain things, but 17 bugs in one room in UNACCEPTABLE!!! This warrants a refund! And the fact that we never even stayed in the additional room that we didn't book, we should also receive a refund for this room as well. Beware of where you stay and please read reviews prior to staying here. Our kids were as positive as they could be in this bad situation.

Excellent service here. General Manager went out of his way to make everyone feel at home. He even went so far as to take all guest that wanted to go out in the country to his home to watch the Eclips. He even served water and wine and provided chairs to those who needed them.

If I am ever in Aiken again I will for sure stay here. Thanks Paul for your hospitality and thoughtfulness. My son and I thank you.

Location is great, so much within walking distance. The hotel itself has an Indian cuisine restaurant, a bar that turns nightclub around 10 pm and a tiki bar out back. I could make out every song the dj played from our room, which vibrated to every beat. At first it was just funny and unusual but by the time they closed at 2am, I was over it. The rooms are fairly small and not as hi tech as some others are now. Our room had an awful smell that you couldn't quite describe but each time you walked into the room, it knocked you back. It is very old hotel which is part of its charm and supposedly haunted.

Poor customer service. Historic is one thing, but the room offered was not fit to stay in. The cobwebs and cigarette butts leading to the room was our first clue. The refused a refund for the second room offered because we "knew the elevator was broke" is unacceptable customer service. They may have kept our money but we slept well at another, much cleaner facility.

Hotel Aiken is very nice. Good atmosphere for dinner and drinks. Also sat outside at the outdoor bar for a while. Very laid back and enjoyable.

The only word to describe this hotel is NASTY. Its potential is tremendous but obviously the owners are only interested in sucking whatever revenue they can out of this property until it goes out of business and not at all interested in turning it into the boutique gem it SHOULD be. It's dirty, smelly, run-down, with peeling paint and wallpaper, ancient grubby linens and dead bugs in the corners. I cannot believe there are still people actually agreeing to spend even one night there. Even the "continental breakfast" is pitiful. The owners should be embarrassed - there is absolutely no excuse for how poorly they are running this place. If they keep running it into the ground like they are doing its only going to deteriorate into a shuttered wreck and be lost to Aiken forever. Yes it really is that bad! Gordon Ramsey where are you??

I was here for some midweek boozing and karaoke. It's an incredibly laid back and friendly atmosphere and service was snappy.

We went to the restaurant in the lobby of hotel Aiken. I didn't like it. It was my first time eating Indian food. It was bland, but I was scared to order the spicy curry because I can't handle much heat. I won't be returning just because I don't like Indian food.

Didn't stay in the hotel. Went to the bar, it was great! They have everywhere from top notch craft to cheap cerveza. The auto pour system is really unfortunate, though. You're making your bartenders feel like robots! It was a Monday and was slow, which is nice to feel out the actual bar atmosphere but not so much the crowd. That's okay, tonight is a non crowd night in my book anyway. The Indian restaurant is great! !!! 3 stars for auto pour, otherwise 4.5

Dirty lobby, dirty room, no AC, dirty carpet, dirty bathroom, and half the channels worked. Zero customer service. This place is as if a white trash family inherited a nice hotel and ran it straight into the ground. Peeling wallpaper, electrical fixtures missing or damaged, and there is cleaner carpet at a crack house.
