Small campsites, expensive. No water and vault toilets.
Sites well spaced with plenty of forest to enjoy. Creek nearby seemed a bit small to fish but the campground was great.
We camped here over the weekend and the current camp hosts were very welcoming and helpful. After we got settled, they checked in with us to make sure our site was okay and gave us some info about the nearby trails for hiking. This is a pretty campsite with plenty of trees and open spaces so you can always find either shade or sunshine. The outhouses were rustic but immaculately kept - very clean. Each site has a fire ring and a picnic table. The other campers were friendly.
New camphosts this year!! Mark and Vicki were great. Greeted us and all campers but don't bother you or micro-manage. Are knowledgeable about the area. This campground is beautiful and quiet!
I enjoyed this campground. It was very peaceful, only few other people there. The hike up the Limber Grove Trail was an easy one and well with it.
Camping with family on the way across state this place worked well.
I had a similar experience that the last reviewer did. My wife and I got there late and started to get things ready after we chose a site. Before we could get back down to the pay station the campground "host" yelled at us while we were setting up inside our van. I got out and he immediately shouted, "Where is your permit!?" At this point I didn't know who he was until he finally told me he was the "host". I said, "Nice to meet you", and he demanded I go immediately down and pay before I set anything else up. I learned that we were the only ones in the entire campground after I drove around to pay. It really creeped my wife out. This guy has no business running or "hosting a campsite. I wonder how hostile he would have become if I wasn't so polite. The campground itself was fine, down a long rough dirt road. I would not go back as long as this guy was there. I plan on forwarding this review to the Forest Service and Canyon Enterprises
The meanest camp hosts ever!!!! Me, my pregnant wife and baby pulled up late at night. I asked the camp host if I could pay once I put our baby down to bed. They started yelling at me and got extremely confrontational! "YOU MUST PAY NOW OR LEAVING OUR F@@KING CAMPSITE OR WERE CALLING THE POLICE!!!" And proceeded to chase me down to my vehicle!!! What?!?! I'm here with my family, it's late. I only needed a few minutes to get my family settled!!! The worst experience I've ever had with a camp ground in my life!!! Stay far away from this campsite !!!!!
Nice little campground. Small and mainly for tents or short campers (our 24 foot was tough to fit in) and pads aren't very level. 6-ish mile dirt road to the campground. Several trailheads accessible from the tent sites. Nice place. We'll be backwith a tent and my truck.
