You wouldn't think at first glance to enter but if you go against your gut your gut will be pleased. Great food and atmosphere, it is a throwback place: long counter, surly looking people outside, etc. The food was great, service with a smile. Bonus, there is a bar in the back also.

Used to go here a lot in college. Fun dive bar. New owners have done a great job sprucing it up but keeping the same fun, laid back vibe. Really enjoyed it!

Old and funky. Great old pictures on the wall. Fantastic mural in the bar. Hamburgers a lot smaller than I remember them but good.

This review pertains to the Ranch Room, the Horseshoe's bar located just to the right when you walk into the main cafe entrance: Delicious bar food (try the multiple types of loaded fries/tots!), excellent specialty Bloody Mary's, friendly and quick bartenders, great daily specials, and chill ambience. Darts and pool! One of the best, longest-operating, and most namesake hidden gems in the City of Subdued Excitement.

Definitely Bellinghams best burger, by far. The French dip with onion straws is delicious, too. Love the changes. The Horseshoe and its menu look the same, but the foodDANK! Can't wait to try more stuff.
Aydan has been our server both times and is awesome. Very friendly. Definitely coming again.

Bellingham's best burgers by a lot, especially how they do the bun. My boyfriend has tried every one on the menu, while they always cater to my picky eater requests and make mine to order. Good for delivery through Viking Food or come in to the old diner style restaurant for excellent service.

Decent food. Non-Chain restaurant dive. Wen's bathroom is kinda scary. Strong homeless presence outside the business. This is a 'sometimes' dining place for us.

My first time at this establishment was met with great and fast service. I ordered the Buffalo Burger and was delivered a delicious entree that will certainly have me back for more. I enjoyed the environment as well with the feeling of home sprinkled in. I recommend this place if you have an appetite for homestyle cooking.

I've had almost all the items on the menu because I go there about once a week and I haven't tried a dish I didn't like. Their food is really good. Their prices are really good too even outside of happy hour compared to many other places I have been around that area. Their coffee is really good too. Best coffee around I think.

Nice relaxed atmosphere. The coffee is good, but most saliently, the service was gracious, friendly and attentive. A true rarity around here (except perhaps at Anthony's and Giuseppe's). The food is nothing to write home about, but the context is what makes it.

The Horseshoe Café is somewhat expensive and the food is not all that great. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone.

Glad we came in! Fun atmosphere (I feel like I should be wearing a fedora and have my rod safely tucked in my shoulder holster. Then once done with my ham sandwich and coffee, time to head back out on my case. Sam Spade style.)
Seriously, the Rueben and coffee were delicious and the service attentive. My son enjoyed his western burger and onion rings.

When this place first reopened they had a bit of a rocky start. Let me say, they have come a LONG WAY!!!

We had a large gathering here for a post wedding breakfast, we were so so so happy with the food and the service. The new owners have really turned the place around and the food was delicious! The service was excellent, even for a group as large as ours and everyone was pleasantly surprised by all the changes and the wonderful new menu.

We've also stopped in with friends to play pool and darts, it's a great late night hangout and the fried chicken burger and the Moscow Mules are to die for!!

I highly recommend the Horseshoe for breakfast, lunch, dinner or late night hang out!!
