Great place to take the kids
Stars are given for the christmas lights display, wish they had had a hot chocolate shop or something
Spent one night in a tent. Campground is just perfect! You can sit by the lake and watch the sunset. It was gorgeous! Quiet and clean. Highly recommended.
We stayed at the park in the spring of 2015. It is a clean and cozy park. Bathrooms were very clean as was the entire campground. We'll stay here again if we're in the area. We reserved in advance and were able to stay lake side which was awesome. The side opposite the lake has some low spots that take on water when it rains but I guess that's to be expected in some areas. We're from Bellaire, MI.
Clean bathrooms and shower. Water is so warm even on not so warm days.
Our entire visit was extremely enjoyable! Fantastic views, friendly people, & the camp & facilities were clean & well maintained.
Bear Lake is beautiful. The staff is very friendly. This is a small campground but the location is great. You don't have much privacy at your sites but some of the sites are right on the lake.
Nice little campground. Views are great whether you are in a spot right on the lake or on the other side of the loop. The bathrooms are not great. The guys bathroom have no doors on the stalls and the girls stall door hit your knees almost. It was a cool weekend that we were there and there was no heat on in the bathrooms. The showers are coin operated, did not use them as it was too cold. The showers are kind of lowly lit and cement floors. Not the nicest, but I'm sure they would be fine if you had nothing else. The price is reasonable and if you don't feel like cooking, there are a couple of restaurants in the area that are nice. Manistee is fairly close too. I had called ahead and was told my name would be on a post, but it wasn't. It wasn't a busy weekend, so finding a spot was easy. Not sure if I would trust having a spot available on a nicer weekend.
