Absolutely flawless execution. From the time we booked the venue to the day after the wedding, we never worried about what was going on or if everything was in place. Nikki made everything a breeze to deal with and work through. She made sure nothing slipped through the cracks. The day of the wedding, we never were concerned and the guests had a perfect time. Communication was top notch and follow up was always on time.

I was in my best friend's wedding held at Homewood, and it was a wonderful experience. The staff is great, the venue is gorgeous, and it is easy to find. Highly recommend if you've got an event to hold.

My husband's cousin was married here. The place is really beautiful and it seemed like a great location. It is a little tight on space if we have a larger wedding, making it difficult to move from space to space with the little/tight hallways. Great place though.

Gorgeous, rustic/vintage, and stone castle. Dark, castle-like, vibes inside including a fireplace, wooden rooms, and old windows. Great for when you want a castle vibe, but don't necessarily need to rent the other castle-like home in Asheville. Perfect for intimate, modern, simplistic, or vintage weddings. Clean venue, friendly staff, and general overall simplistic beauty. Nikki handled the wedding with ease and was easily approachable, making it super easy to get along.

This is a beautiful location, a little castle in the mountains, that seems cheap enough in the beginning, but watch out for the hidden fees. First of all, if you want any sort of sound, it's an extra $150 to use their equipment, it's an extra $200 for candles. Oh, and they won't mention this until after you sign, but they require $1K to be paid to a wedding planner who does ABSOLUTELY NOTHING except be there for the caterer to get there.

You're gambling if you have your wedding here, as they don't contact the local tour bus line and tell them not to come by in the MIDDLE OF YOUR OUTDOOR CEREMONY. Then they'll lie to your face and tell you that they did. I called the bus company, they never heard from our planner about that day, and they offered more recompense and apology for their driver yelling "DON'T DO IT" over a loudspeaker than Homewood did for not handling it in the first place. They'll put Table 8's number upside down (because at this point, I'm pretty sure they're just screwing with you to see how much you're going to fix before your guests notice that it's off), ignore half of your DIY decorations, screw up your clearly written and labeled Bridesmaid/Groomsmen order, ignore written and discussed plans, and their required Cake people (because you have to select from a list of not-so-great vendors. Thankfully the caterer and photographer were both amazing, and we didn't include any of their other lists of their local "buddies" or "in-house" people) will get the cake at least 65% to 85% wrong because they didn't take adequate notes when you met with them, and I mean covering what was supposed to be buttercream in fondant levels of wrong. That's what happened to us. Fondant is nasty.

If Nikki is your planner, watch out, she's the absolute worst. After screwing up so hardcore on all of this that our heads were spinning after the wedding, she proceeded to blame my bride for all of her mess-ups in the return email from our comments about her poor performance (or lack of performance in general). Then, failing to take into account at this late stage in the game that Asheville's mail is routed through South Carolina, the deposit (which should have been a full refund, if you ask us, so far as we're disappointed from how badly they messed up the happiest day of our lives), was almost a full week late after the date in the contract for getting back to us.

Also, they require you to overpay for any and all alcohol through Asheville Beverage, their in-house company. If you ask about a specialty order, they just stop answering your emails about your alcohol and soda altogether (so if you wanted a specific beer, or in our case, Apple Wine, you are officially out of luck, because they don't care about you enough to put in extra effort), and they also take an extra 10% of whatever you pay your caterer. (FEES! FEES! FEES!)

They charge every hidden fee in the book, will outright blame you for their various screw-ups, and offer half-hearted apologies, condescension and excuses when you call them out on their bull.

They. Do. Not. Care. Not about you. Not about your wedding. Not about your happiness. They will lie to your face and screw everything up, then lie about what they screwed up while blaming YOU for it. Make sure everyone else involved in anything official knows the game-plan without the help of the planner, make sure you call the bus company YOURSELF and tell them not to do a classless drive-by, shouting "not to do it," and make quadruple sure that you didn't miss a last minute email from the cake people alerting you that they're going to get your cake 85% wrong. Make a bunch of your own decorations, and maybe spring for their candles and sound. If there's a planner, tell her repeatedly that every tiny detail is important, and if she misses one, you want your money back. Do this BEFORE the day of the ceremony, impress upon her that you will ask for a full refund if one HAIR is out of place, because we didn't, and we didn't ask for a refund either. We're just tired of dealing with them at this point.

We had an amazing wedding at Homewood. It is an absolutely stunning venue. They gave us a huge discount for having a weekday wedding and it was so worth it. We received so many compliments! Nikki was our day of coordinator and was amazing. She helped us plan all the fine details and ensured that the day flowed flawlessly. We had a small wedding and was on a tight budget. Nikki kindly worked with our budget to met our needs and still provided exceptional service. She was prompt to responding to any questions I had and offered advice and insight that only an experienced professional would have. I would highly recommend Homewood and Nikki for your wedding day if your looking for a flawless, professional, exceptional experience.

Beautiful location, friendly staff, they have connections to a great selection of quality vendors. They offered my friend a great discount for her weekday, off season wedding. Its a great option for a small, casual wedding that wont break the bank.

We had our ceremony at Homewood because it's such a gorgeous place. The ceremony took place outside in the garden but the entire venue was open to us and guests. Our coordinator, Nikki, was so helpful from the moment we booked it.. especially since I was planning our wedding remotely. We chose a smaller "elopement" package but I still feel like we got the treatment of a full blown all-day ceremony and reception reservation; we also were introduced to an officiant as part of the package who was very nice and professional. As you can imagine, Homewood's outdoor area in the fall looks absolutely stunning. I'm so glad we were able to have our wedding ceremony here!
